This open letter is especially addressed to the recent additions to the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses: Gage Fleegle, Jeffrey Winder, Kenneth Cook, Jody Jedele, and Jacob Rumph. A personal copy is being mailed to each new member. Over the past three decades, I have written dozens of letters to the Governing Body. Obviously, though, its members have changed over the years. Newer members may not [...]
According to the London Economist, this week, the second week of April, 2025, the global financial system came within a few hours of blowing apart. On Monday of this week, the president of the United States announced the implementation of tariffs on dozens of nations. Immediately, the stock markets around the world plunged. But that was to be expected. What was not expected was the sell-off [...]
There is no indication that Jehovah ever actively intervened to save David. David was a warrior and could defend himself. Even so, the 35th Psalm opens with these words: “O Jehovah, defend my case against my opposers; fight against those who fight against me. Take up your buckler and large shield, and rise up to my defense. Lift up your spear and battle-ax against my pursuers. Say to [...]
The superscription of the 34th Psalm states: “Of David, when he disguised his sanity before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he left.” David was a national hero in Israel, having killed the hulking Philistine giant, Goliath. David was invited into Saul’s court because of his valor and exploits. David entertained Saul and his family by playing the harp. The women sang songs that Saul stuck [...]
The book of Revelation is presented in signs and symbols. Among these signs, we are presented with a wild beast with seven heads. What does this monstrous creature represent, and why should we even care? Revelation is the last book in the Bible for a reason. That is because it draws upon many things previously written. To illustrate the point, the 12th chapter of Revelation [...]
Dear Brothers, As you are well aware, we are exhorted by God to keep on the watch for the coming of Christ. A brief article appeared on the homepage of jw.org the first week of March, entitled: What Is the Coming of Christ? Strangely, it only appeared for a few days and was taken down. Nevertheless, it is a very important question. The article mentions that no [...]
One of the first articles I wrote after engaging in a months-long Bible-reading marathon was entitled Collapse of the Watchtower. It was before the Internet came of age. Eventually, though, the material was published online and found its way into the first edition of Jehovah Himself Has Become King (2005). One hundred copies of the book were distributed to the then-Governing Body and branch offices worldwide. [...]
Thursday, February 27 No weapon formed against you will have any success. —Isa. 54:17. The inspired words of the scripture above are being fulfilled today. The following comforting words also apply to our time: “All your sons will be taught by Jehovah, and the peace of your sons will be abundant. You will be firmly established in righteousness. . . . You will fear nothing and have no [...]
I know you have discussed this topic in videos and written articles, and for me, the Biblical evidence seems pretty obvious that Christ's bride is a limited and balanced number of 144,000 co-rulers. But, some try to overturn this simple truth with various types of reasoning. One such reasoning is this: If the 144,000 is a literal/finite number, then how is it possible that the children [...]
