“And I saw, and look! a pale horse, and the one seated on it had the name Death. And the Grave was closely following him. And authority was given them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with a long sword and with food shortage and with deadly plague and by the wild beasts of the earth.” — Revelation 6:8 With the recent Russian [...]
In part one, we briefly considered how the Kings of the North and South originated with the breakup of the empire Alexander the Great had established when he unexpectedly died in 331 BCE. Originally, the empire fragmented into four regions. Then, it was consolidated into two. In time, the Roman Empire swallowed up both Syria and Egypt, which had been the prophetic Kings of the North and South, [...]
jw.org has taken to posting brief articles with short bullet points on current topics. As I have done with the Watchtower Review column for many years this post will examine the validity of the article: What Is the Sign of “the Last Days,” or “End Times”? (The recycled article appearing on jw dot org has been reviewed before but what follows is more detailed.) What [...]
“Furthermore, when you hear of wars and disturbances, do not be terrified. For these things must take place first, but the end will not occur immediately.” — Luke 21:9 Since the dissolution of the USSR, the Anglo/NATO combine has been regarded as the sole superpower. Its military has bombed and invaded numerous countries—beginning with Serbia in 1999. Since then the US-led coalition has invaded Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, [...]
JW.org posted a sensational cover article entitled Russia Invades Ukraine, surprisingly not punctuated with an exclamation mark, with a subtitle posing the question: Is Bible prophecy being fulfilled? The first paragraph states: In the early morning hours of February 24, 2022, Russia began a military invasion of Ukraine, despite the efforts of world leaders to avoid war. How might this military conflict affect the world? The [...]
A continuation of the Jeremiah series. In the 21st chapter of Jeremiah, the last king of Judah summoned Jeremiah to request that the prophet inquire of Jehovah. No doubt aware of the salvation God had performed in the days of Hezekiah when the Assyrians invaded Judah only to have an angel slaughter Sennacherib’s entire army, now with Nebuchadnezzar laying siege to Jerusalem, the “deadly wounded wicked [...]
JW Broadcast has uploaded a video entitled: Remain Watchful for “Peace and Security!” This topic has been considered and reconsidered on this site for many years; and of course, Jehovah’s Witnesses are frequently reminded of it in publications and discourses. To be sure, it is a compelling prophecy given the fact that God has provided a roadside marker, as it were, a signal to affirm the [...]
The JW.org home page features an article entitled: Are We Running Out of Time? The sub caption on the article page states: The predictions of the Doomsday Clock will not be fulfilled, because God promises a bright future for mankind and the earth. First, what exactly is the Doomsday Clock, and what are the predictions implied by the clock’s settings? Published by the Bulletin of [...]
The Zoom Watchtower study this week poses a very pertinent question: How Strong Will Your Faith Be? The opening paragraph poses a couple of hypothetical questions. Do you sometimes feel anxious when you think about the events that lie ahead of us —the destruction of false religion, the attack of Gog of Magog, and the war of Armageddon? Do you ever ask yourself, ‘When the [...]
First podcast of 2022. Looking like world war three is on the horizon, driven by the impending financial collapse of the trans-Atlantic system. Plus, the Watchtower's apostasy.
