Robert, would you explain please your statement “the now-emergent eighth king.” How can this be prior to the destruction of the seventh king? Thanks.
Just to clarify, I think “emergent” was a typo. The spell checker is usually a writer’s best friend. Sometimes, though, it can be very treacherous. I intended to say “now-emerging” —as in the process of coming forth, not intending to imply the last king is already, fully emerged.
In any case, I wish it were possible to convey to Jehovah’s Witnesses the extent to which the Watchtower’s interpretation of these vital prophecies is misleading. If we are looking behind we cannot see what is ahead. Evidently that is the point.
Because the Watchtower claims these events have already occurred (supposedly the head of the beast was mortally-wounded during WW1) and the Watchtower is God’s quasi-inspired spokesman and cannot be questioned, Jehovah’s Witnesses have no inkling that this prophecy is pointing forward to the sudden, horrifying collapse of the Anglo-American system that presently dominates the world. It is tragic that no one really stops to think or question why God would bother to portray the victorious Allies as suffering a catastrophic death blow during the First World War. As far as America is concerned, the Civil War of 1861-1865 was far more destructive and nearly destroyed the United States.
I have related this before, but years ago on a phone conversation I once had with a Governing Body member, I was informed by him that if Jehovah wanted them to know anything important he would inform them directly and not through some outsider (like me). Evidently, he was right. Apparently Jehovah does not want them to know what is coming down in the days ahead.
The 13th chapter of Revelation presents to us an extraordinary event. It is described this way: “I saw that one of its heads seemed to have been fatally wounded, but its mortal wound had been healed, and all the earth followed the wild beast with admiration.”
“One of its heads” is in reference to the seven-headed beast. The question is, how is this head seemingly fatally wounded? To find the answer we have to look elsewhere in prophecy; specifically, Daniel. That is appropriate considering that the preceding verse in the 13th chapter of Revelation draws from the symbolism in the seventh chapter of Daniel in portraying the seven-headed beast as being composed of parts of the individual beasts that Daniel saw in the vision; namely, a lion, a bear, and a leopard.
Daniel saw a terrifying fourth wild beast that was unlike the others. It was unusually ferocious and had iron teeth and copper claws. On its head were 10 horns, just like the seven-headed beast of Revelation. However, as Daniel kept peering into the unfolding vision he saw something else: “While I considered the horns, look! another horn, a small one, came up among them, and three of the first horns were plucked up from before it. And look! there were eyes like human eyes in this horn, and there was a mouth speaking arrogantly.” — Daniel 7:8
Momentarily the 10-horned beast had 11 horns; except the 11th horn was tiny in comparison (See Byington version). But even though small, Daniel watches as the little horn uproots three of the 10 horns. The small horn then appears to become bigger than the remaining horns. Here is what Daniel wrote concerning it: “…and the other horn that came up and before which three fell, the horn that had eyes and a mouth speaking arrogantly and whose appearance was bigger than that of the others.”
The point is, as it relates to the question, since the little horn emerges immediately prior to overthrowing the three kings, and the little horn grows to become the eighth king —as has been explained in other articles —there is a period of unknown duration prior to the catastrophic overthrow of the existing kingdoms when the little horn emerges. From my perspective, that is where we are at this point in time.
It is important to note that after the emerging little horn plucks out the three established horns, it is given a mouth with which to speak arrogant words against God. This is exactly what the recovered head of the beast does. Not only that, after the little horn attains dominance he makes war against the holy ones for a prophetic time, times and half a time —or three and a half years, or 1,260 days. Likewise, Revelation says of the recovered beast: “It was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and it was given authority to act for 42 months. And it opened its mouth in blasphemies against God to blaspheme his name and his dwelling place, even those residing in heaven. It was permitted to wage war with the holy ones and conquer them, and it was given authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.”
Properly understood the little horn is what brings about the fatal wound upon the ruling powers —the three horns that are supplanted represent the same thing as the head of the seven-headed beast that is fatally wounded. The revival of the mortally-wounded beast coincides with the little horn growing larger than the horns it uprooted. We would have to assume that having authority over every tribe, people, tongue, and nation, signifies a world government — something that does not presently exist.
The eighth chapter of Daniel depicts the same development; namely, a small horn that emerges and grows great and crushes the holy ones. Daniel 8:9-10 states: “Out of one of them came another horn, a small one, and it grew very great toward the south and toward the east and toward the Decoration. It grew so great that it reached all the way to the army of the heavens, and it caused some of the army and some of the stars to fall to the earth, and it trampled them down.”
The small horn that grows very great is said to bring mighty ones to ruin by his cunning. Who are the mighty ones? They must coincide with the three horns that are plucked out and the head of the beast that is slain.
It has always been Satan’s ambition to impose a world government. That is what Nimrod’s Tower of Babel was intended to bring about long ago. Jehovah thwarted it in a major way by suddenly changing people’s language chips —so-to-speak.
Since the establishment of America the British Empire —realizing that it could not destroy its breakaway colony militarily —set out on a long-range scheme to subvert America and induce it to destroy itself with the ultimate goal being world government.
Probably the most effective aspect of that century-spanning scheme was the introduction of the counter-culture movement in the 1960s —the purpose being to impose upon society backwardness, pessimism, and hedonism. The conspiracy was successful. Now that the cultural decay has been at work for more than a half-century it would appear that the empire is going for the coup-de-grace by exerting pressure upon obvious fault lines to bring about a fracture of the nation into warring tribes, split along racial lines, with the general population crushed by the collapse of the middle class.
It is hard to see how the nation can survive the upcoming presidential election now just two months away. If the incumbent wins re-election the so-called left-wing will unleash their mobs of anarchists. If the socialists take the presidency through fraud, such as the fraud-prone mail-in ballots being pushed, or the vote count is delayed and contested in court, then the right-wing militias would take up arms and perhaps even segments of the military would execute a coup. Civil war seems inevitable.
Although the central banks have had the money spigots open full bore since the pandemic lockdown began, which just so happened to come at the time the Federal Reserve was pumping trillions into the overnight repo markets —indicative of a too-big-to-fail bank failure, the money spigots can be shut off abruptly, collapsing everything. It is all in the timing.
Concurrent with the financial and societal turmoil created by the conveniently timed eruption of the COVID crises, the empire is in overdrive fomenting war with Russia, China, and Iran. All of these events shaking the world are not isolated. It all fits into what is laid out in prophecy and what is known about the intentions of the oligarchic Club of the Isles, otherwise known as the British Empire, to destroy the nation-state system and impose an Anglo-run communistic world government.
This time Jehovah is not going to intervene as He did with Babel. On the contrary, it is God’s stated purpose to use the last kingdom of man as His means of wrecking the world coincident with the incoming Kingdom of Christ.
