This is a review of the Watchtower study article, Do You Recognize the Truth?

Training ourselves to discern the difference between the truth we have learned from Jehovah and the falsehoods promoted by Satan and our opposers.

First, I am not an opposer of the truth. I oppose those who pretend to be apostles and who disguise themselves as the faithful and discreet slave, a designation that will only come about after the Son of man arrives to commence the judgment of the house of God; hence, the question: “Who really is the faithful and discreet slave?”

We should not suppose God would not allow wicked men to slip in and occupy positions of authority. After all, Judas was an intimate associate of Jesus and the apostles. For example, Peter forewarned, “However, there also came to be false prophets among the people, as there will also be false teachers among you. These will quietly bring in destructive sects and disown the owner who bought them, bringing speedy destruction upon themselves.” – 2 Peter 2:1 Furthermore, the inspired apostle indicated that the judgment of the false teachers was not moving slowly, indicating that their appearance “among you” is immediately before Christ’s thief-like coming.

Discerning truth from falsehood is not simply believing everything the Watchtower says. We are obligated, yes, urged by the true apostles to make sure of all things. For Jehovah’s Witnesses, shouldn’t “all things” especially include all the things the Watchtower teaches and presents as if Jehovah and the Watchtower organization are the same?

The apostles warned Christians to guard against believing “every inspired statement.” For example, John wrote: “Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired statement, but test the inspired statements to see whether they originate with God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.” — 1 John 4:1

The Greek word the New World Translation renders as “inspired statements” literally means “spirits.” So, if a statement seemingly issued by Jehovah, the God of truth, does not pass the test, then it originates with the spirit opposed to God—the Devil, the father of the lie.

Paul also warned his anointed brothers to be on guard and not to be quickly alarmed by inspired statements and letters purported to be from the apostles, who will announce that the presence of Christ and the Lord’s day is here. (Concerning the apostle’s original writing, whether he used YHWH or meant to say “day of the Lord” in reference to Jesus is discussed in other articles.)

It could be said that the primary focus of e-Watchman over the past 22 years has been debunking the Watchtower’s 1914 invisible parousia doctrine —the mendacious assumption that the Lord’s day has already begun. If anything has ever been passed off as an “inspired statement” of truth that cannot be questioned, it is this 1914 dogma —the core teaching of the Watchtower Bible Society. Paragraph one states:

Jehovah’s people love the truth found in God’s Word. We have built our faith on it. We have come to believe that Jehovah set up the Christian congregation as “a pillar and support of the truth.” And we gladly submit to “those who are taking the lead” among us as they explain the truth from the Bible and give direction in harmony with God’s will.

Do Jehovah’s people really love the truth? John counseled Christians not to love merely in word, but in deed and truth. Anyone can say they love the truth but wait until the difficult test comes. Then let the one boasting boast in Jehovah.

The Corinthian congregation was a pillar and support of the truth. Yet, Paul was concerned that they might be corrupted by the false ministers who presided over them, those whom Paul derided as the “superfine apostles.” Those phony apostles were, whether knowingly or unwittingly, agents of Satan, and they merely disguised themselves as ministers of righteousness.

In the context of his warning to the Thessalonians not to be quickly shaken from their reason by inspired statements declaring the presence of Christ has begun, Paul went on to identify the source of the inspired statements. It is none other than Satan who channels his inspired statements through a man of lawlessness who sits in the spiritual temple of God. Paul’s inspired writings prove that God permits the operation of Satan to influence Christians in order to test their love of the truth. This demonic operation is in effect up to the moment when Christ arrives. That is when the test will begin. Now, please take note of the second paragraph:

However, after we have accepted the truth and the role of God’s organization in providing reliable guidance, we could still be led astray. Satan would like nothing better than to cause us to lose confidence in the Bible or in the direction we receive from God’s organization.

Did God’s organization provide “reliable guidance” regarding the vaccine? Did the Governing Body not do an about-face and change its policy to one that was a carbon copy of the UN and the pharmaceutical cartel? The Governing Body wholeheartedly endorsed the vaccine pushers who claimed the injections were safe and effective. The shots were neither. Millions of people have died or have developed or will yet develop life-threatening, debilitating illnesses. Further, many people who have submitted to the vax have also contracted COVID-19. The injections were only “effective” from the standpoint of the murderous Malthusians, whose stated intention is to eliminate a large portion of the present population.

The leaders of the Watchtower are lying when they claim to have provided “reliable guidance.” And since the Watchtower’s guidance has resulted in death for an untold number who submitted to the jabs because they were deceived into believing it was theocratic direction, ought we look to them for life-saving directions in the future? And now consider paragraph three:

Soon the Devil will use powerful propaganda to mislead entire nations into taking sides against Jehovah. We can also expect Satan to intensify his efforts to mislead Jehovah’s people. Consequently, it is important that we train ourselves to see the difference between truth and falsehood and to be obedient to the truth. Our survival during the great tribulation will depend on it!

The Devil’s powerful propaganda is already at work. Satan has performed powerful works and conjured lying signs and portents to deceive Jehovah’s Witnesses into believing Jesus has already begun ruling in his Kingdom and that the Devil has been cast down to the earth. We are supposedly experiencing the foretold demonic wrath even as most people live relatively carefree lives.

Jesus foretold that many false prophets and pretend-Christs will arise and mislead many during the conclusion. In the future, Satan will empower men to create deceptive illusions, declaring Christ is here and there —in the inner chambers and the wilderness. Jesus indicated that the inspired statements of false Christs would be so convincing that even the chosen ones could be deceived, if that were possible. Since the chosen ones are the intended targets of the demonically inspired false Christs, the source of the inspired expressions must be Jehovah’s organization!

Hopefully, at least a few thinking persons can see that Jehovah is allowing the spirits to condition Jehovah’s Witnesses with insidious study articles such as this in order to ensnare them in the future. Consider paragraph 12:

We can maintain our confidence in Jehovah’s organization. When it becomes clear that an adjustment is needed in our understanding of a certain Bible truth or in the way that the Kingdom work is organized, those taking the lead do not hesitate to make the necessary changes. (Prov. 4:18) They do so because, more than anything else, they want to please Jehovah. They also do their best to base their decisions on God’s Word, the standard to which all of Jehovah’s people must adhere.

The truth is, it is not possible for the Watchtower to make any meaningful adjustments. It would require junking the entire 1914 phantasm. That would, of course, stumble a great many of Jehovah’s Witness and spell the end of the Watchtower. So, they are committed to carrying on with “the lie” until the bitter end. In prophecy Jehovah likens their error to a highly raised wall that is bulging under the weight of so many accumulated lies. It will crash in an instant and be shattered into tiny bits. Where will your confidence in Jehovah’s organization be, then? Now, consider the last paragraph.

When we recognize the truth and hold firmly to it, we will stay spiritually safe and healthy. We will be protected from Satan’s false teachings and propaganda, and we will remain secure in Jehovah’s care during the great tribulation. Keep holding firmly to what is true, “and the God of peace will be with you.”

The truth is, Christ has not come —not in any sense. Jehovah’s Witnesses have been deluded into believing that the parousia is invisible. 1914 is the foretold operation of Satan that gives credence to the inspired statements that the parousia and the Lord’s day have begun.

The Watchtower is on record saying another world war is impossible —even as more and more people are becoming aware that madmen and foolish politicians are driving the world to a disaster of unimaginable dimensions.

The Watchtower’s insidious, inspired suggestion that we will be safe from Satan’s false teaching and propaganda only by remaining loyal to the Watchtower is a devilish lie. Only by obeying Jesus’ prerecorded life-saving instructions will we demonstrate our love of the truth at the critical moment of decision.

“However, when you catch sight of the disgusting thing that causes desolation standing where it should not be (let the reader use discernment), then let those in Judea begin fleeing to the mountains. Let the man on the housetop not come down nor go inside to take anything out of his house; and let the man in the field not return to the things behind to pick up his outer garment.” — Mark 13:14-16
