(00:02):

You know, there is such a thing as truth. Remember Pontius Pilate when he was examining Jesus, and um, he asked Jesus, well, what is truth? Wasn’t really a question, but, uh, an expression of doubt. But there is a truth. For example, there’s such a thing as male and female. No one ever questioned that until <laugh> a few years ago. And now it seems like the people running the Western world say, no, no, no. You can become whatever sex you wish. It’s not predetermined. But science determined that at the very moment of conception, a person’s sex was determined and it cannot be changed, right? If you have XY, you’re a male, and XX, you’re female. Uh, but for some reason, now millions and millions of people don’t believe that anymore. <laugh>, why is that? Well, some that are aware of what’s going on, that there’s a massive brainwashing PSYOPs. They’ll say, well, it’s the communists, the Marxists.

(01:41):

And that may be true, but it doesn’t really get to the root of it. In the Bible, Jesus said, your word is truth. God’s word, referring to the Bible as the truth. And Jesus said of himself, I am the way and the truth; Jehovah is called the God of truth. And, uh, it’s amazing that Paul said that it is impossible for God to lie. Think of that. For some people, it’s impossible for them to tell the truth. But here is this God who created everything who has no reason to lie, and who, in fact, cannot lie <laugh>. It’s against his nature. Some people, people say God could do anything. Well, uh, no, he can’t. He can’t lie.

(02:46):

But the world is simply immersed in lies. Everybody believes lies. Evolution. There’s not a scrap of evidence that proves that little molecules start vibrating and turn into living creatures that develop into, I mean, it’s absurd, it’s a fairytale, it’s a myth. But every supposedly intelligent person, with few exceptions, believes that we evolve from some lower life form, right? That’s the big lie. And, of course, uh, there are lots of religious lies. Religion is built upon lies because they’re not based upon the scriptures.

I had a conversation with a neighbor some months ago. We were sitting on his front porch and talking about the scriptures, and he was quite interested. And I made a comment. I said, well, you know, everything the churches teach is a lie. And he kind of shrugged and laughed, ha, yeah, sure. And unfortunately, somebody walked up and I wasn’t able to follow up on that thought.

(04:10):

But obviously anyone can read the life of Jesus and the things that he said and did. You don’t need anyone to interpret that for you. Uh, you can either believe it or not believe it. But when you get to the theological question of say, for example, who was Jesus? Then you get into, um, a messy situation where people believe untruth, lies. Ask most religious people. Who is Jesus? Oh, Jesus is God. Well, that ain’t what the Bible says, right? Jesus is a son of God. What son is the same person or equal, or was is as old as his Father? But that’s the trinity. That’s what it’s…it is like evolution. It makes no sense, but you must believe it because the authorities who went to theological seminary for many years, and they know, and this is what they say is <laugh> the truth.

(05:25):

Well, Jesus had something to say about that when he was on the earth. The Jews who should have accepted Jesus, they were expecting a Messiah. They had the Hebrew scriptures, uh, but they didn’t believe. And the religious leaders were Jesus’ most stubborn opponents. They lied about him and they were murderous. And in fact, they ended up murdering Jesus. But Jesus told them straight out that ‘you are from your father, the Devil, and you wish to do the desires of your father.’ And then he explained a little bit about the Devil. He said that one was a murderer when he began.

(06:20):

And he said, when he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of the lie. Think of that. Before Satan, no one ever told a lie. And before Satan told the lie in the garden of Eden, he told, Eve, “you positively will not die. God knows when you eat that fruit, your eyes will be open and you’ll be like God knowing good and bad.” Before he told that lie and led Adam and Eve to their deaths, thereby becoming a murderer, a manslayer. He was a righteous angel.

(07:14):

He talked with God. He knew God, he loved God. But angels are free moral agents, just like people are. And this angel thought very highly of himself, and he coveted something that belonged to God —our worship, our devotion. And he hatched this scheme because of his developing pride and arrogance. And you know, he was clever enough not to challenge God’s power. He knows God could just snuff him out. <laugh>, poof. But he challenged God’s moral authority. ‘Is it really so? did God really tell you you can’t do that? Oh, he’s, he’s hiding something from you. He doesn’t want you to have something that you deserve. You should be like God. God shouldn’t be telling you what to do.’ <laugh>, right?

And later on, in the case of Job, Jehovah brought up another issue. He invited Satan, ‘Okay, what is it? Spit it out. You’ve got your designs on this man job. There’s no one like him blameless.’ And then Satan said, ‘well, is it for nothing? That Job serves you? Have you not put a hedge about him? And blessed everything he does? Take all of that away, I promise he’ll curse you to your very face.’

So again, another issue involving God —that God cannot make a creature that will really be true to him, people only the worship God because he gives them all the goodies and blesses them. And so, yeah, sure.

(09:18):

Well, going back to why people believe all of these lies, Jesus answered it. The Devil is the father of the lie. And Jesus referred to the Devil as the ruler of the world. Doesn’t that explain a lot? The world is ruled by liars and murderers and thieves. Men such as that, who are very much like the Devil, haughty, prideful; they’re in the highest positions because they do things the way the Devil does and they succeed. Well, as I say, there, there is a truth. And whatever the Devil has done or is doing or will yet do, it’s temporary. In the Book of Acts, it was said of Jesus, that he came to break up the works of the Devil.

(10:39):

He’s done that to an extent, but eventually, it will be total. We can believe that there will be no trace of Satan’s existence. And all the harm and death and destruction that he has caused will be undone. That’s the message of the Bible, the good news of the Kingdom, that even those who are dead, who have been moldering in their graves for centuries, who have been forgotten by the living, they’re in God’s memory. And when Satan is put away, they will be brought back. Well, Jehovah’s Witnesses know the truth about these things. We know the truth about Jesus and Jehovah and their relationship. It’s not difficult. Jehovah’s the Father, he’s always existed. That’s humanly incomprehensible. But there’s no reason to doubt it. God cannot lie. He had to come from somewhere or else. You know, the question is, who created God? Well, God, you know, relieves us of that, that brain-wracking. He’s always existed. Jesus has not always existed.

(12:07):

He was God’s first creation. Jehovah’s Witnesses understand that. But people who are steeped in the Trinity cannot. They’re like the Jews who wish to do the desires of their father. They want to believe a lie. For example, when YouTube first came online, I did a video 14 years ago when you can only do 10 minute videos. And I was discussing Hebrews 1:5, where Paul said, uh, ‘to which one of the angels did God ever say, you are my son’ <laugh>. And I don’t know how many times people say, well, Jesus couldn’t have been an angel because God said to which one. Okay, but who did God say You are my son to? Who was he speaking to when he said, “you are my son”? If it wasn’t an angel, who was it? And they can’t figure it out. <laugh>

(13:13):

Was God talking to himself? ‘I am my son, the beloved whom I have approved.’ That’s what Trinitarians believe: father and son are all the same thing. Well, they’ve never read the Bible, apparently, because, on the day that Jesus was baptized, Jehovah spoke from the heavens and said, “you are my son.” Simple. But wasn’t Jesus God’s son when he was created in heaven before he came to the Earth? Yes. Very good. So why did God say, you are my son when he was baptized? Because it was at that point that Jesus was born again. What? Jesus was born again? <laugh>.

(14:09):

You know, these evangelicals, they go, well, I was born again. You know, I, I gave up, you know, women and liquor. I’ve been born again <laugh>. Well, that’s good, but that’s not what it means to be born again. And Jesus explained it to Nicodemus in the third chapter of John. He said, “What is flesh is flesh. I’m flesh. You’re flesh. “What is spirit is spirit.” So humans cannot change into spirits. We don’t have an immortal soul that flies off when we die. That’s Satan’s biggest lie. And every religion believes it. Every so-called Christian religion, Hindus, Muslims,  pagans, people that don’t even claim a religion. Well, I guess when you die, you, so you know, you reincarnate… whatever.

(15:09):

And that’s not what the Bible teaches. And Jehovah’s Witnesses know what the Bible teaches in that regard. In order for Jesus to return to heaven from where he came, he had been turned into a human. He left off his divinity. He couldn’t just leave his flesh and go back to heaven. Jehovah performed a miracle by begetting him as a spirit son. So he remained in his flesh for three and a half years. He died and was non-existent for parts of three days. And when Jehovah resurrected him, he came to life as a spirit. He appeared occasionally over the course of 40 days, and then of course, he was in the flesh when he ascended to heaven. Otherwise, his disciples never would’ve believed. He went back to heaven. They had a hard time accepting it. He came down from heaven even though he told them over and over and over again. Uh, so he walked them through that. And then there he goes, and they said, ‘Oh, okay, I get it now.’

(16:20):

But Jesus, what Paul in the eighth chapter of Romans, said that Jesus was the firstborn of many brothers, born again, born from the spirit, and those who are also born from the spirit will be with Christ in heaven, 144,000. This is one of the basic teachings of the Bible. Jehovah’s Witnesses understand that. But you know, Satan is much more intelligent than even Jehovah’s Witnesses believe. And he has a lie for everyone. And Jehovah’s Witnesses have their pet, their pet lie too <laugh>. It’s a very much part of their belief. What is the lie?

(17:25):

Well, I’m gonna read to you, um, select scriptures from Second Thessalonians, the second chapter. In the first chapter, Paul had been talking about Jesus coming as a flaming fire to destroy all those who are opposed to him. And that’s what Christians are waiting for —for the coming of Christ. He said he was coming back from heaven, right? ‘I’m going to prepare a place for you. I will return, take you to myself that you may be with me. Don’t worry, in my father’s house, there are many abodes otherwise I would’ve told you”, right? So anointed Christians are waiting for Christ to return, to be united with him and to be brought before Jehovah’s presence in heaven. This, by the way, is a special provision of Jehovah to undo the lie, the original lie that Satan said, ‘God knows that in the very day of your eating from it, your eyes will be open and you’ll be like God.’

(18:46):

He was saying God is too selfish to share, to really share what he has. And what does he have? Not just everlasting life. Adam and Eve could have had that. Humans are going to have that, but Jehovah is immortal, indestructible. Jesus was not immortal or indestructible when he was on earth. Otherwise, he could not have died. He’d still be hanging on that pole <laugh>, right? No, but when Jesus was resurrected as a spirit, he was given immortality —life in himself. And he said, “to whoever I wish I give life,’ so they’ll have life in themselves too. That’s Jehovah’s gift to the 144,000 —life in themselves. And they will become life-giving spirits, just as Jesus is. The apostles raised people from the dead, just as did Jesus. Peter and Paul both performed resurrections. So that’s a preview. The 144,000 will be given kingly powers and priestly powers to resurrect the dead, to rehabilitate mankind, and to teach them the real truth about the God of truth.

(20:19):

So the anointed are waiting for the return of Jesus and the fulfillment of these prophecies and promises. But Paul cautioned the brothers that there would be a deception targeted at them. “However, brothers, concerning the presence of our Lord Christ Jesus and are being gathered together to him, we ask you not to be quickly shaken from your reason, nor to be alarmed either by an inspired statement or by a spoken message, or by a letter appearing to be from us to the effect that the day of Jehovah is here.”

Now, I’ve talked about this and written about it quite a bit. I support the Watchtower’s New World Translation and the insertion of Jehovah where it is apparent that the writer, or whoever was speaking, was quoting from the Hebrew scriptures where the Tetragrammaton appeared. Jesus quoted from Isaiah, the 61st chapter, for example, “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah is upon me.” He would’ve read the YHWH. It was in the, the, the Septuagint.

(21:50):

But there are no copies of the Greek where the Greek writers actually wrote YHWH. But we have evidence that those early copies were written with the YHWH and that those copies were destroyed intentionally by the Jehovah-hating Jews. <laugh> Not surprising is that modern translators have stricken the name Jehovah, not just out of the Greek scriptures, but out of the Hebrew scriptures where it appeared 7,000 times. So that shows they have a bias against the truth. The translators of the King James said, well, ‘we don’t use the name Jehovah. It’s not important.’ God’s name is not important? He’s so unique. There’s only one God. He didn’t need a name.’

Well, that’s not what God says, anyway. It’s quite likely that Paul may have intended to say,”the day of the Lord is here.”

(22:53):

And Paul used that expression the day of the Lord. And it also appears in Revelation, “the Lord’s Day.” Well, that’s a problem for Jehovah’s Witnesses because the Watchtower says that the Lord’s Day began in 1914, that an invisible presence began in 1914, although originally they said it was 1874, then they rejiggered things around. And you know, by 1930, then they had it set in stone that it was 1914, that the day of the Lord began in 1914. And that is exactly what Paul was warning us not to believe, even if it appears to be an inspired expression by people who otherwise speak the truth. And, of course, the watchtower has written books and millions of magazines declaring that the day of Jehovah is here. The Kingdom came in 1914, every Watchtower says “Announcing Jehovah’s Kingdom.” And they say it began ruling in 1914.

(24:07):

But then Paul gives a qualifier: “Let no one lead you astray.” So the ones who were saying, the day of Jehovah has begun the day of the Lord is here, the presence has begun. They’re leading us astray. Paul said, don’t, don’t get overly excited about that. He says it will not come to the parousia and the day of the Lord “unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed, the son of destruction. And he goes on to say he stands in opposition and exalts himself above every so-called God or object of worship so that he sits down in the temple of God publicly showing himself to be a God.”

(25:02):

Well, I believe that’s the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses. That’s not to say every member, but the institution. And have they not elevated themselves above all the religions and, you know, the clergy, whom they say is the man of lawlessness, ironically. Uh, but they are God’s spokesmen and they’ve elevated themselves to this status of virtually being infallible. “Oh no, we’re not infallible, but if you question our teaching, you will be punished.” So, in essence, they cannot be questioned. They’re infallible, and they are as gods. When Paul said he sits in the temple of God, do you know what the Watchtower says about that? The clergy claim to be seated in the spiritual temple of God. They claim to be this. Paul didn’t say that. He said The man of lawlessness sits down in the temple of God, publicly showing himself to be a God.

(26:19):

The fact that Paul called him the son of destruction is very important because there’s only one other place in the Bible where that expression appears. And Jesus used that expression in prayer in the 17th chapter of John referring to Judas as the son of destruction. He said it would be better for that more man not to have been born. But Judas was an apostle. He was with Jesus and the other apostles at the Passover, sitting at the table with Jesus; until Jesus tipped the morsel and handed it to him. And it says, “Satan entered into him.” And then Jesus said, “What you’re doing, get done more quickly.” And he went off to betray Jesus and betray the others as well. You know, because when Judas led the Romans and the Jewish mob to Jesus, he knew where they were because he was an insider. He knew they would be in the garden of Gethsemane and he knew the apostles would be with him and you just didn’t care.

(27:32):

It’s quite likely that the Romans would have taken the apostles in as well and arrested them and interrogated them. But Jesus said, ‘I am He let these go.’ So even as he was being arrested, he was thinking of his followers and he asked Jehovah to protect them as well, didn’t he? But he did say, look, “Satan has demanded to have you men to sift you with wheat.” And Jesus didn’t say, look, I’ve said, no, you can’t do that. He didn’t say that, did he? He said, but ‘I’ve made supplication that your faith does not give out.’ He said they were gonna be tested. Peter denied he even knew Jesus. He failed that test, didn’t he? Big time! And he wept bitterly, it said, but Jesus forgave him, and he built him up and encouraged him. Peter became an outspoken Christian. He stood up on the day of Pentecost and explained it all; stood up before the Pharisees who had killed Jesus and said, well, you judge for yourselves, whether it’s you know, wives to obey you or God, and we’re gonna obey God. So do what you will.

(28:56):

But this man of lawlessness is empowered by Satan the Devil. For what purpose? Well, it says the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will do away with by the spirit of his mouth. But notice in verse nine, “But the lawless one’s presence is by the operation of Satan with every powerful work and lying signs and wonders and every unrighteous deception for those who are perishing as a retribution because they did not accept the love of the truth in order that they might be saved. That is why God lets a deluding influence mislead them so that they may come to believe the lie in order that they all may be judged because they did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in unrighteousness.”

It’s interesting there in verse nine, it says that the lawless one’s presence is according to the operation of Satan.

(30:16):

Presence is the same word used in connection with the presence of Jesus, the parousia. Now, I’m not saying that’s what it means, but it is an interesting connection because the lawless one promotes a false parousia. That’s what 1914 is. And Satan backs it up with what? Every powerful work and lying signs and every unrighteous deception. How does that work exactly? Well, pastor Russell, as he was called, came up with this idea, this chronology, the seven times and you double the 1,260. And lo and behold, it points to 1914. And all the Bible students were expecting Armageddon in 1914.

(31:09):

Well, instead, World War I erupted. And that’s why after, you know, 20 years, the Watchtower said, ‘Well, wait a minute, let’s move 1874 as the beginning of the parousia to 1914.’ And of course a lot of other things happened then too. Uh, the leadership, the new leadership of the Watchtower was put in prison on false charges of sedition. Uh, the work came to a standstill and then it was revived. And so a whole raft of, uh, prophecies were interpreted as being fulfilled. And these are the unrighteous deceptions and lying signs that Satan has used to convince even anointed Christians that Christ has come, that he’s ruling in his Kingdom, and that he’s invisibly present. Right now it is pretty much a harmless lie. But it will no longer be harmless when the actual parousia begins —when Christ returns because then the nation will rise against nation kingdom against kingdom, as Christ foretold.

(32:32):

And it will be obvious that 1914 was a fraud. So then those who believe the lie will have to make some changes and some people will not do it because the people that have promoted this lie up to this point will not accept it. That’s when the man of lawlessness will come forward as an opposer to Christ as an antichrist. And didn’t Jesus warn many false prophets will arise and mislead many? He said, if it was possible, even the chosen ones would be deceived. So, it comes from a source they trust or did trust, right? So, as I say, everyone has a lie. And even though Jehovah’s witnesses have taught the truth concerning the basic doctrines and the coming of the Kingdom, it’s the question is, do you love the truth?

(33:42):

And Jesus said, when these things began happening, “many will be stumbled and they will hate one another and betray one another.” Why is that? Because when it becomes apparent that the Watchtower has promoted this lie, many who worship this leadership, this idol, they won’t accept the truth. They won’t leave their idol, and that will be necessary because Jesus said, when you see this disgusting thing standing in a holy place, drop what you’re doing, run for the hills —not necessarily a physical location like it was in the first century, but Jerusalem in the first century was the headquarters of Jehovah’s earthly organization. It was the temple, right? And contrary to what the Watchtower teaches, the apostles and disciples did not view the temple as something unholy. They preached there on a daily basis. They made sacrifices. They went to the synagogues to preach to the Jews.

(35:00):

Paul was told to go to the temple and make a sacrifice to quell the rumors among the Jews, that he was fomenting an apostasy against Moses. And yet Paul proved that <laugh>, the law of Moses, was obsolete. It had been fulfilled, it was done, and yet he still went to the temple. So when Jesus said, when you see this disgusting thing, it will be something that will be revealed, as Paul said, the man of lawlessness. And this will be revealed. Look, we’re already seeing the mystery of this lawlessness. And that’s true. We’ve seen the Watchtower do things that completely repudiate everything it stands for. It joined in a political partnership with the United Nations. That’s a fact. And they were required to use a portion of their publishing assets to tout the UN and all the wonderful things they do for mankind. And the Watchtower did that for 10 years.

(36:09):

The Watchtower pushed the vaccine. At first they said, it’s up to you. It’s a medical decision. Well, that’s right. But then they came out <laugh> and said it was a gift from Jehovah. They said, don’t question us. Question, “what does Jehovah know?” And they said that God supplied these vaccines for Jehovah’s people so they could stay in the land of the living. And that was a lie. We know that the CDC and the WHO, the World Health Organization, lied big time. The pharmaceuticals lied. The vaccine did not protect anyone from catching COVID-19. It didn’t prevent anyone with COVID from transmitting it. Dr. Fauci, he is, he is Mister vaccine. Supposedly, he’s been vaccinated half a dozen times. He just caught COVID again for the third time. He’s the one that said, if you get the vaccine, you won’t get Covid. He’s a liar. And people believe it. And the Watchtower Society pushed this lie. And people are dying. Millions of people are dying around the world, and Jehovah’s Witnesses are dying and developing strange diseases. How could the vaccine be from Jehovah?

(37:31):

Why did they come up with that? For money. They sold Jehovah’s Witnesses out for money, just as Judas did —the son of destruction. And Jehovah’s Witnesses still can’t see it. The apostles were oblivious when Jesus handed the morsel to Judas. They thought he was going out to buy more stuff for the Passover. They were clueless. Jehovah’s Witnesses are clueless. There’s this evil presence within the leadership of the Watchtower. And it’s Jehovah’s Organization. Paul foretold it.

So we’re right on the edge of World War III, and that means that all the things Jesus said will begin unfolding. And Jehovah’s Witnesses will required to make a decision, to go on following the Watchtower that’s lied to them or go in a new direction and follow Christ, and those to whom he has revealed himself —the real parousia. A visible Paris. Yeah, I went over my allotted usual half hour, didn’t I? I got a little worked up. I like talking about these things. Anyway, hope to see you again next Sunday. Thanks for watching.
