TRANSCRIPT Well, hello YouTubers. I haven’t given a Sunday talk in a while and today’s not Sunday, but it’s two days after Sunday, so that’s close, right? I’m trying out a new microphone here. I had been using a shotgun mic on a boom connected to the camera and it was not really satisfactory and it would pick up I think more of the street noise. I’m on a country road, but there a lot of people around here don’t have proper mufflers on their vehicles and there a lot of dump trucks and that kind of thing. But, this is more of a directional mic. It’s what I use for the podcast when I’m not in my little studio here. Anyway the title of this talk as you can see is Jehovah’s Witnesses and the lie. Well, let’s let’s clarify some things before we get into it, shall we? You know, you can read in the 12th chapter of Revelation. It’s actually when I started delving into the Bible, I started at the end, you know, work my way back. But the 12th chapter of Revelation really grabbed me and a war in heaven, Satan, the devil, the one misleading the entire inhabited earth. And then it goes on to mention he was thrown down to the earth and all of his angels with him, the demon.s And woe for the earth. But that expression Satan, the devil, the one misleading the entire world, that’s a lot of people, isn’t it? It includes us, doesn’t it? I mean, we’re part of the entire inhabited Earth. Well, for those of you who have made a study of it, (excuse me) you know that Satan, the devil is the god of this world. And Jesus referred to him as the ruler of the world, and he’s been such since the Garden of Eden, approximately 6,000 years ago. Well, the question arises, how does Satan mislead everyone? Does he individually plant thoughts into our minds? Well, no. He doesn’t have to. He, as I say, is the god of this world. And he influences people in mass. And he does that from the earliest age from the we’re born into a world that is under his influence. And his influence is exerted through institutions. Now, this really goes back to after Noah’s flood and they began building a tower. They wanted to build it up to the heavens and there was an agenda behind that. This fellow named Nimrod, he was a mighty hunter in opposition to Jehovah. And he gathered the people together, concentrated them on this building project. And that was against Jehovah’s command to spread out, fill the earth, subdue it. But now they’re under the tyranny of what we would call a dictator. And a religious belief began then that he was the seed of God that Jehovah had promised. Well, anyway, you know what happened? Jehovah took care of that by confusing mankind’s language. And that’s why we speak over a thousand languages now. And the groups obviously spread out according to their language so they can understand each other. But they took their false religious beliefs with them. And that’s just one example of how Satan is able to control people through institutions. The lies that Satan spins are institutionalized. And that goes for the beliefs of Christians. You know, Jesus said that he was the way and the truth and the life in contrast to Satan being the father of the lie. But Jesus and the apostles foretold that after a period of time there would be a falling away from the faith. And of course that’s what happened. And by the second century, there were debates and arguments who Jesus was. And that that’s really a strange question because the apostles and all the first century Christians, they knew who Jesus was. They certainly didn’t think he was God. There’s a reason the Jews didn’t accept Jesus, of course, as the Messiah, as the son of God. Some did of course but most did not. And even though they saw Jesus perform miracles and they heard him speak, and Jesus told them why they didn’t why they didn’t believe him. And he told them none of you are my sheep. Only those whom the father draws to me are my sheep. So Jehovah didn’t draw them to Christ obviously. In fact, they ended up chanting for him to be murdered. Impale him. Impale him. Well, this disagreement about who Jesus was, as I say, it didn’t exist among Jesus disciples and because Jehovah showed them who Jesus was. Remember there was some discussion and Jesus asked his apostles,”Well, who are people saying that I am?” And they said ‘Well, some are saying you’re Elijah that’s come back, and others are saying that you’re John the Baptist raised from the dead, and others are saying you’re Jeremiah, one of the prophets. And Jesus, okay, well who do you say I am? And Peter, the outspoken one, said “You are the Christ, the son of the living God.” And Jesus said to him, “Blessed you are because my father in heaven revealed that to you.” So by divine revelation, opening their minds, they grasped that Jesus was the son of Jehovah. Even at the time, I don’t think of course they appreciated that Jesus had come down from heaven. They just knew that he was the Messiah. And of course when he was put to death and then resurrected and then they were filled with Holy Spirit and then they they understood where Jesus had come from and how he was miraculously conceived and all of that. Well, that explains a lot doesn’t it? That unless Jehovah opens our minds to perceive the truth, we’re going to be under Satan’s influence. In that discussion about who Jesus was in the second century. It culminated in the 4th century when these squabbbling bishops allowed the Roman emperor Constantine to arbitrate this theological discussion even though he wasn’t a Christian. Supposedly he made a conversion before his death, right? But he decided that Jesus was the same as God. And of course that’s true, but not in the way they want you to believe it. And then Constantine made this minority religion the state religion of the Roman Empire. And by that means Satan was able to take control of what passed as Christianity. And to this day, people teach the lie that Jesus is God. In fact, somebody probably leave a comment on this video. No, it says in the Bible, … the Word was God. Jesus said “I am.” And they don’t have the I don’t know the intelligence, the spiritual wherewithal to think it through. And of course, they don’t want to know the truth. And that’s why Jehovah allows them to believe this lie that Jesus is God. And you know, it comes from the top because the people that you know, you often hear people accuse Jehovah’s Witness. Well, you got, you got your own Bible. Well, you know, the implication is it’s they worded, they changed it and it it’s not the real Bible. Well, again, they seem to be lacking in knowledge. Let’s be polite. And they don’t realize that every religion has their own Bible. The Bible was originally written in Hebrew, a little bit in Aramaic, and the so-called New Testament in Greek and all that, unless you read those languages and very few people do. You need a translation. And originally, the Catholics did a good job of translating. They translated it into Latin, right? But then Latin began dying out. And most people in Europe, the uneducated couldn’t read Latin and so they had no access to the Bible. And of course, that was by design. But the modern translators have done a lot to perpetuate this lie that Jesus is God by taking the name of God out of the Bible, in English, Jehovah. It was in the original King James in a few places. But even now the revised King James has erased that. And they’ll tell you, you know, God’s distinctive name. It’s you know, there’s only one God. So Oh, he doesn’t need a name And they use the all capital L O R D. They just call him Lord, which is kind of interesting, you know, because one of the false gods in Hebrew times was called Baal. And there were all different Baales. There’s the Baal of Peor. It was a local god. And the word Baal means Lord. So the Jews were worshiping this Lord. And they thought it was the Lord that their forefathers worshiped. Interestingly, when Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal, you make a sacrifice and call upon Baal and see if he can make fire fall from heaven and consume your sacrifice. And it’s quite a humorous account. They were slashing themselves and crying and going through all this religious rigomearroll and Elijah was mocking them, wasn’t he? And then it came his turn and he prepared his sacrifice and he told him to pour water all over it, make it harder to light. And then he didn’t do much. He just said, “Jehovah, God, answer.” And it was must have been a mini nuclear blast because it consumed the rocks and everything, and the people fell on their face. And what did they say? Jehovah is the true God. Jehovah is the true God. Do you think they would have said the Lord is the true God when they were worshiping the Lord Baal? That’s as silly, isn’t it? It’s stupid. And if you want to quibble about, well, they didn’t say Jehovah, that’s in English … You know that. Well, of course it is. You want to be Hebrew about it, it was Yahwh. Okay. Why don’t the Bibles use that term Yahwh or Yahweh? They don’t. It’s Lord. And it’s easy to say, “Well Jesus, Jehovah changed his name to Jesus. That’s the latest con, you know.” Well, I’m not going to go off on the Trinity. I’ve done a number of videos showing, you know, the unscripturalness, again being polite. But Jehovah’s Witnesses have their lie too, and it is a singular lie really. I mean, I concentrated on the trinity, but Christryendom and the churches teach, everything they teach is based on a lie. The universal lie that you have an immortal soul that you die, but yeah, that’s the body. Your soul goes off and and might end up down or up. Who knows? But and of course that’s a lie. Jehovah’s Witnesses teach the truth about the identity of God and the relationship Jehovah has with Jesus and that Jesus is going to come as king and that God’s kingdom is going to bring to ruin Satan and his world. God’s kingdom is not going to destroy the earth. It’s going to destroy Satan’s system and the people who support Satan’s rulership after the time that Christ comes. And and they’ll be survivors who will survive the end of this world and repopulate the earth (just like Adam and Eve excuse me) just like Noah and his family survived the flood and got off the ark and started again. Only this time, Satan won’t be there to continue to mislead mankind. So that’s the truth that Jehovah’s Witnesses teach. So what’s the lie? Well, the lie is that Christ has already come, that the kingdom has already been established. And it’s a lie that, you know, I’ve done my best to overturn it. I’ve been online, you know, talking about these things, writing book and brochures and hundreds of articles on my website and few hundred videos. But the lie is very persistent and it is because Jehovah has allowed for it. You know, that if Jehovah permits something then there’s not anything that a puny little human can do. But Jehovah has done it for a reason. And well, if you go to second Thessalonians and for context in the first chapter Paul was talking about the second coming of Christ. And he says that Jesus will come from heaven with his powerful angels and the flaming fire and he says these very ones will undergo the judicial punishment of everlasting destruction, those who defy Christ when he comes. And notice they’re not burning in hell. Everlasting fire of destruction. If you burn something up, it’s gone. Right? You can’t put it back together from smoke and ash. It says at the time he comes to be glorified in connection with his holy ones and be regarded in that day with wonder in connection with all those who exercise faith because of the witness we gave met with faith among you. So I have come to appreciate that the core doctrine of Jehovah’s Witnesses as it mentioned is that Christ became king and that an invisible presence began in 1914. Of course CT Russell said it began in 1874 but then some years after 1914 they fixed that. And so it’s hard to prove that Jesus is not invisibly present, but he’s always been invisibly present, hasn’t he? Didn’t he say that were the last things he said to his apostles before he ascended to heaven? I will be with you all the days until the conclusion. So during the conclusion, something else happens. And that’s what Paul is alluding to. He will be glorified in connection with his holy ones. The holy ones being the select chosen ones who are on earth when the parousia begins. They will see Jesus. No such thing as an invisible parousia for them. No one else will see Jesus. So he will be invisible but not the holy ones. Otherwise, how could Jesus be glorified in connection with his holy ones? Now, if you go to the second chapter, Paul warned his anointed brothers about a fraud, a lie. It says, “However, brothers, respecting the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and are being gathered to him, we request of you not to be quickly shaken from your reason, nor to be excited either through an inspired expression or through a verbal message or through a letter as though from us to the effect that the day of Jehovah is here. Let no one seduce you in any manner because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed, the son of destruction. Well, obviously Jesus did not appear to the disciples in the first century even though Paul was speaking as though it was imminent. Paul was really placing himself in the conclusion when Christ will appear. But this warning and I would like to mention that he says to the effect that the day of Jehovah is here. That’s the message. The day of Jehovah is here. Now we know that there are no Greek copies where the YHWH appears, the tetetrogrammatin which is translated in English as Jehovah. We also know that many times Jesus quoted from passages in the Bible where God’s name appeared and the Jews may have had a superstition not pronouncing God’s name. Jesus didn’t, he would not have followed that superstitious custom. And Paul quoted from scriptures where the name appeared. And so he would have faithfully translated that with the YHWH. No, no, no question about that really. Or at least there shouldn’t be. But in this passage, there’s no indication that Paul is quoting a scripture from the Hebrew scriptures. And when he refers to the the day of Jehovah, it’s true. The Hebrew scriptures make mention of that many times. Joel mentions it five times. Zephaniah. I think six or seven, the day of Jehovah. Keep close in mind the presence of the day of Jehovah. But Paul also used the expression the day of Jesus Christ or the day of the Lord. So in this passage (I keep going to closing out here.) He’s saying that the message will be that the day of Jehovah is here. Well, according to the Watchtower, the day of Jehovah is not here. It’s in the future when the tribulation begins. But in Revelation, it refers to the Lord’s day. And the Watchtower says the Lord’s day began in 1914, when he returned and has been invisibly present. So since Paul did not use since there are no scriptures where Paul you know we can prove that he used the tetetrogrammaton, and given the context here he’s talking about the presence of Christ he probably meant to say, don’t be shaken through a verbal message or through a letter as though from us to the effect that the Lord’s day is here. So that message was really for Jehovah’s Witnesses and apparently sadly they haven’t gotten the message because for since 1914 the message has been the Lord’s day is here and Jehovah’s Witnesses believe it. But Paul goes on to say that this man of lawlessness who will be revealed is the source of this misleading message. He said true the mystery of this lawlessness is already at work. And then he says, “Indeed the lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord Jesus will do away with by the spirit of his mouth and bring to nothing by the manifestation of his presence.” But the lawless one’s presence, it’s interesting, Paul uses the exact same word parousia. The lawless one has a parousia, his presence within the true Christian congregation because Paul says he sits in the temple of the God, the God, showing himself to be a god . He’s lifted up above all the other clergymen, false religion and so forth. And he says that this lawless one’s presence is according to the operation of Satan with every powerful work and lying signs and portants and with every unrighteous deception for those who are perishing as a retribution because they did not accept the love of the truth. Notice it doesn’t say they didn’t know the truth. Satan knows the truth. Different, isn’t it? Loving the truth. And so as a retribution because they not accept the love of the truth that they might be saved. And notice this is verse 11. So that is why God lets an operation of err go to them that they may get to believing the lie. The lie. We know the truth about the Trinity. It’s false. We know what happens when you die. The lie is that Christ has come and he’s not going to show himself to the holy ones as Paul explained. So, how is this going to be resolved? Well, in another letter to the Thessalonians, in fact, the first one, Paul again was talking about the presence and are being gathered to him. And in the fourth chapter, verse 15, he says, “For this is what we tell you by Jehovah’s word, that we the living who survive through the presence of the Lord shall in no way precede those who have fallen asleep in death. So the context is the presence and we’re waiting for Christ’s presence to begin. The lie is that it’s already begun. But now go to the fifth chapter. Paul says, “Now for the times and seasons, brothers, you need nothing to be written to you. For you yourselves know quite well that again Jehovah’s day is coming exactly as a thief in the night … Jesus said he was coming as a thief in the night and his coming will commence the Lord’s day. So there’s no evidence here that Paul was quoting from the Hebrew. So we can’t attribute and assume, well, what Paul said, Jehovah’s Day See where we’re going with this? And why didn’t, brothers, why do not we need anything to be written us regarding times and seasons? Because Jesus already told us he’s coming as a thief in the night. Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that this will will happen in the future and set off the tribulation. Okay. But, if it’s the Lord’s day, then that that has an entirely different connotation, doesn’t it? And then of course, Jehovah’s Witnesses are familiar with verse three. Whenever it is, they’re saying peace and security. And then sudden destruction is be instantly upon them as a pang of distress upon a pregnant woman. And then he said, ‘Brothers, you’re not in darkness. So that that should overtake you as it would thieves, you are all sons of light and sons of day. So Jehovah has given a sign. And it’s interesting too that this this message is really directed to Jehovah’s Witnesses because most translations don’t say peace and security. They say peace and safety or something like that. And you know that doesn’t have much resonance, because in the real world, I mean it’s part of the official jargon of the United Nations, they have a whole department devoted to maintaining peace and security and you hear politicians make this statement a lot. You know President Trump has said he he wants to establish peace and security and prosperity. Well, that’s great. Right now, there’s a number of wars going on, isn’t there? And there’s a threat of nuclear war. I don’t know if you saw the other day, poor President Trump, he was saying, “Oh he’s good friends with Putin and his he’s gone crazy now. He’s shooting missiles into Kiev and killing people. He didn’t know because another reporter asked him, “Did you know that 45 drones were sent from Ukraine into the cursed region just on the edge of the old Russia before they annexed the Donbass and Bance and all that?” Because President Putin had arrived there in a helicopter. And so NATO, you can’t believe that Ukraine would do this on their own and they need satellite assistance from the United States. So 45 drones were shot to take out Putin’s helicopter. It was an assassination attempt and Russia responded by blowing up a drone factory in Kiev. And President Trump said he didn’t know anything about that. So, can you imagine what would have happened had they succeeded in assassinating Putin? Putin is one of the level heads. A lot of people in Russia wanted to level Kiev and be done with it. And if NATO wants to make a big deal out of that, they’ll level London and Paris and Berlin and Copenag and all the rest. If you if you want a nuclear war, let’s get it on. That’s what some of the hottheads in Russia are willing to do. So, at the same time that this war is pending, and by the way, maybe you saw this, the the chancellor in Germany said, they’re giving the Ukrainians their long range missiles, the Taurus missile, and there are no limits. Shoot into, you know, into Moscow whatever. That’s fine with us. And of course, Russia has said before this ever happened, if you use long-range missiles, we will attack the source of those missiles. So, we’re on the edge of World War III, and at the same time, President Trump wants to be … he wants to leave a legacy as the peacemaker. So we have these two different countercurrents, a pending war that’s threatening to explode not just over Ukraine but in the Middle East and with Iran. Israel could go off maverick and attack Iran. And because of the Zionist influence in the United States, America will be obligated to be drawn into a war with Iran. And Russia and China have made it clear they’re not going to allow, you know, Iran to receive the Iraq treatment or the Libyan treatment or any of those other nations that have been destroyed by the United States. So again, we’re on the verge of World War III. At the same time, this president is determined to bring peace and security. So, we’ll know when they when they proclaim it. We won’t need the Watchtowwer to give us an update because sudden destruction will commence. And it’s not necessarily the tribulation. It’s World War III, and the Anglo-American system goes down. I’ve done a number of videos on this and written, you know, many articles. So, that’s something to keep tuned into, isn’t it? And we’ll try to do these videos more regularly now. And hope to see you again soon. Thanks for watching. ————– It is called a paradox. On the one hand, the Watchtower teaches the truth. And Jehovah’s Witnesses are preaching the good news throughout the earth, as Christ foretold would be done before he comes like a thief in the night. On the other hand, Jehovah’s Witnesses believe the lie. What is the lie? The lie that Christ has already come and has been invisibly present since 1914. God allows the lie to go to those who know the truth to test their love of the truth when Christ’s presence actually begins. Paul referred to it as an operation of Satan. The operation consists of seemingly inspired expressions, verbal messages, and written material, presented with apostolic authority, proclaiming that the Lord’s day has begun. That message is exclusively preached exclusively by Jehovah’s Witnesses. In fact, not believing the artfully contrived false story promulgated by the Watchtower concerning Jesus’ supposed invisible presence in Kingdom power is regarded as an act of rank apostasy on the part of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The Lie will become apparent whenever it is they are saying “peace and security.” That will be the genuine signal that the Lord’s day has begun. no wonder Jesus foretold that many will be stumbled. ———-
