  • The Raven The Raven I saw an interview with 2 former members of Bethel and they confirm this. Every aspect of their lives was scrutinized and regimented far beyond military service. It was stunning. They were constantly spoken to and prodded to admit any perceived "sins" to their controllers to the point they actually made stuff up, much like we did in catholic school just to get the priest to leave us alone! They also...

  • The Raven The Raven BURT QUOTE: "Rather than ask, ‘...if they leave the organisation, do they leave Jehovah?’...one might ask instead, ‘have they yet to find Jehovah within the watchtower?" ^^^this^^^ is an excellent question which will be answered when Christ returns. For an organization which in my opinion has had His blessing in furthering the truth of the good news... dang it's a mess! Even though it's all...

  • The Raven The Raven That's kinda funny about the hearing aids and tv. I listen at night, when machinery stops and it's quiet out on the porch. The horse on the acreage next door is attracted to voices and music and comes to the fence and listens while he chews. His owners wondered what was going on and one evening I saw them sitting on logs, listening as well. 😊

  • The Raven The Raven I've noticed this delusional behavior among a lot of folks lately. It's a reflection of the entitled, whining, narcissistic world we live in. They don't do anything and demand acknowledgment and acceptance regardless.

  • The Raven The Raven I believe baptism should be treated with the same concern and seriousness as is marriage. I do not think young children are fully capable of comprehending the scope of this decision. There are exceptions but for the majority...no. To disfellowship young folks is like letting a small kid get on a carnival ride he's too little to ride and then blaming him when he falls off. As for leaving..I can't...

  • Cathii D'Anthonii Cathii D'Anthonii Well also..When Paul explained the reasons for disfellowshipping of this individual, it was gross immorality that most children wouldn't comprehend let alone engage in.. Usually, when ones engage in this course of action they have already disassociated, sometimes for years.

  • Frank Frank There are a couple of things that this radio broadcast brings to my mind. The first is the unreasonable notion that a child who has "dedicated" their life to do Jehovah's will by getting baptized would be held to the same standards as an adult if they then do wrong against Watchtower or Biblical rules. Whereas I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with a young one getting baptized, at the...

  • Bklyn Kevin Bklyn Kevin Excerpted from- Jehovah’s strange and unusual work . Human rulership has been a failure across the board —including those who rule, or govern for God. Look at the history of the kings of Israel and Judah who ruled in Jehovah’s name. Only a few were considered good kings, and even they had serious lapses of judgment. For example, not only David’s moral lapse with Bathsheba, but his ill-advised...

  • Bklyn Kevin Bklyn Kevin Excerpted from > A Smoldering Wick He Will not Snuff Out . Many of Jehovah’s Witnesses today are toiling and burdened down. They do not find the weekly congregation meetings refreshing any more. Some become brokenhearted when they discover the extent of Bethel’s hypocritical dealings, such as their secret 10 year partnership with the United Nations or the atrocious way in which victims of JW...

  • Burt Reynolds Burt Reynolds I saw this some time back. I was going to reply to him that no one can ‘steal’ the truth of the bible from anyone. It’s there for everyone to preach and is not exclusive to any one person. Then I wondered if it would do any good and after a few moments thought, went and made a cup of tea.
