Is the Watchtower clean and undefiled?

When we look carefully at ourselves in the mirror of God’s Word and see flaws, even evidences of selfishness, we might become discouraged. If that ever happens to you, reflect on the successful man in James’ illustration. James did not stress how quickly the man fixed the problems he detected or even that he was able to correct every blemish; rather, James says that the man ‘continued in the perfect law.’ He remembered what he saw in the mirror and kept working to improve. Yes, keep a positive view of yourself and a balanced view of your imperfections. Continue to peer into the perfect law, and work to maintain your spirit of self-sacrifice. Jehovah is willing to help you, as he has helped so many of your brothers who, although imperfect, can and do have God’s favor and blessing.

Commentary

A few verses down in that context James went on to write: “The form of worship that is clean and undefiled from the standpoint of our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their tribulation, and to keep oneself without spot from the world.”

The Watchtower refers to the faith of Jehovah’s Witnesses as “true worship.” But is it really? Is it really clean and undefiled from the standpoint of God?

Well, according to the criteria for the form of worship that God approves, has the leadership of the organization looked after orphans and widows in their tribulation; or to bring things closer to home, have they taken up the legal cause of the sexually abused?

The answer is a resounding no!

Not only has the Watchtower failed to look after abuse victims, it has  become their adversary at law  and has used the donations of orphans and widows to crush the plaintive cry of the abused! 

Not only that, but it has promoted a policy that has helped conceal pedophiles from exposure. This is now a matter of public record and can no longer be denied. (London’s High Court Says Jehovah’s Witness Elders Failed to Protect Child from Sexual Abuse )

And has the organization kept itself without spot from the world? Again, the answer is no. There is the matter of the Watchtower’s hobnobbing with the hedge fund gurus and their presumably using donated funds to play the markets like the sophisticated gamblers in the City of London and Wall Street.

More egregious is their having functioned as a secret associate-level UN NGO for a decade, which to this day the Watchtower continues to deny that it brazenly promoted the agenda of the United Nations, as it was obligated to do under the terms of the criteria of association. But the facts prove otherwise. As a result millions of Jehovah’s Witnesses were hoodwinked into placing literature with the public that was peppered with articles intentionally written to inform the public of various programs and initiatives promoted by the UN.

But it gets worse. Not only has the Watchtower lied about its association with the UN and induced Jehovah’s Witnesses to advertise, advertise advertise the UN, it continues to persecute and disfellowship Jehovah’s Witnesses who dare speak about Bethel’s apostasy and hypocrisy.

These are the matters that will be taken up in the near future when Christ comes to initiate the judgment.
