8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; (Ephesians 3 KJV)
8 To me, a man less than the least of all holy ones, this undeserved kindness was given, that I should declare to the nations the good news about the unfathomable riches of the Christ (Ephesians 3 NWT)
8 This grace was given to me, less than the least of all the saints, to preach the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ among the nations, (Ephesians 3 GLT)
8 to me — the less than the least of all the saints — was given this grace, among the nations to proclaim good news — the untraceable riches of the Christ, (Ephesians 3 YLT)
Here are four versions of the same scripture for comparison. What exactly did Paul mean by this statement? Was it a mere statement of humility, or was it much more than that?
Paul is basically saying, without much doubt that he does not consider himself in the same class as the anointed ones betrothed to Christ. Does that make sense or cause a big stir? I can’t believe there is zero response!
