Hi Muldoon 55: Before we even discuss the point, I would ask that you take out your favorite Greek interlinear of the Greek Scriptures and look what is actually said in Matt. 24:36. In the Greek it actually says “no one has seen” which is in the perfect tense which means no one has seen this up to the point that Jesus made this statement. Yes, getting a good understanding of the answer to this conundrum is quite difficult but it is not impossible. Jesus said “Keep on knocking, Keep on seeking, Keep on asking (perhaps not in that order).
If you do you will be answered, you will find, and it will be opened to you.
You can figure out what the day and hour is but the chances are not good unless you devote much devotion to this task and even then it will be hard beyond belief. But Jesus guaranteed us that he would answer, open doors to you. People don’t try because they have convinced themselves that it can’t be done. It leaves everyone off the hook. Plus, there is a fear of being labeled a “False Prophet”, but a false prophet is someone who claims to be personally inspired by God himself to spout spirit inspired scripture. But someone “interpreting” the scriptures is not this type of prophet and because of the difficulty of the task will be wrong many, many, many times before being right (if that ever happens). I know I am going to be wrong, wrong, wrong until I am right. Actually I may never be right no matter the effort. But I have faith in Jehovah and his Son that the statement about answering, opening, etc is a steadfast promise. Being wrong each time should simply put you back to the drawing board.
