The watchtower is not part of Babylon the great. Maybe in the future… as you said when the wheat is taken out… but not now… Jehovah does not accept any kind of worship from the different religions that compose babylon the great… they are detestable before his eyes. It is just like the situation with ancient Israel… Israel was Gods precious people they disobeyed but Jehovah still loved them… and Babylon the great can be compared with the surrounding nations that as you said were not destroyed when Israel received judgement… but they received everlasting destruction for their sins and they were cursed by God in part because they were cruel and were happy when Israel received judgement. In that same way… when the spiritual Israel receives a punishment… Babylon the great will be very happy and they will follow the same pattern as ancient nations… but at the end all of them will be destroyed forever… and that may include the watchtower but in the future… not now just like the jewish system became obsolete…. and was destroyed.seekerforgodskingdomParticipantNovember 23, 2017 at 5:03 pmPost count: 16
Frank and Luigi,
usually the truth (of God) is deeper than we may think …
while I am not able to give a complete definition for “Babylon”, I see it as concentrating ALL evil/wicked characteristics pertaining to this world (while God’s people is composed by people who were draw out from this world) ..
Now, God’s prophetical word gives to us an important information: that there exist a “daughter of Babylon” … see the two prophets – Isaiah 47 – the whole chapter- and Zechariah 2:7 and put these verses into “equation” : we see that the “main” characteristics of the “Babylon”(the mother) had been “borrowed” by the “daughter of Babylon’ , so that they resemble completely , as stated in Ezekiel 16:44
“Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.”
How happened that ? Simply, as Jehovah has foretold in the Song of Moses , His children ha begun to practice (during the latter days – as their worship) things, teachings and religious customs and practices (injustice, idolatry) as Babylon does
15. But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked:
Thou art waxed fat, thou art grown thick, thou art become sleek;
Then he forsook God who made him,
And lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
16 They moved him to jealousy with strange gods;
With abominations provoked they him to anger.
17 They sacrificed unto demons, which were no God,
To gods that they knew not,
To new gods that came up of late,
Which your fathers dreaded not.
18 Of the Rock that [f]begat thee thou art unmindful,
And hast forgotten God that gave thee birth.
19 And Jehovah saw it, and abhorred them,
Because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.
20 And he said, I will hide my face from them,
I will see what their end shall be:
For they are a very perverse generation,
Children in whom is no faithfulness.
So, taking into consideration ALL God’s word, the “organization” that was built by and within “God’s people” has become a “daughter of Babylon” to whom Jehovah is addressing in Isaiah 47 – read it!
Now, when the “day of Judgement” comes/begins, through the expression BtG (Rev 18) Jehovah means ALL the “ways of worship” which disobey Him (included the “way” of taught by WT or the “daughter”)
Here should be important to see Jehovah’s clear will toward His “children of Jacob” expressed in Zechariah 2:7
