Trembling at men is a snare, but the one trusting in Jehovah will be protected. —Prov. 29:25.
We can build up our courage now by publicly preaching the good news of God’s Kingdom. Why so? Because preaching teaches us to trust in Jehovah and overcome any fear of man. Just as our muscles are strengthened when we exercise, our courage is strengthened when we preach from house to house, in public places, informally, and in business territory. If we develop the courage to preach now, we will be well-prepared to keep preaching even if our work is banned. (1 Thess. 2:1, 2) We can learn much from the example of a faithful sister who displayed remarkable courage. Nancy Yuen stood no more than five feet (1.5 m) tall, but she was not easily intimidated. She refused to stop preaching the good news of God’s Kingdom. As a result, she was imprisoned for some 20 years in Communist China. The officials who interrogated her said that she was “the most stubborn person” in their country! w19.07 5 ¶13-14
What is stated above is surely true. Going out in public talking to people about the Bible takes a lot of faith and courage. And there is no doubt in my mind either, that God imparts the holy spirit to those who do the work Christ assigned.
But who would have ever thought that the worldwide work of preaching the good news would be banned by the Watchtower?
The Watchtower article on which the daily text is based was published in late 2019, a few months before the Corona lockdown began. However, the 2021 Examining the Scriptures Daily was compiled sometime during 2020 during the lockdown. Reality doesn’t seem to have any bearing on the editors.
In any case, by their own words the Governing Body condemns itself; for if our trust in God and our faith in Him is strengthened by preaching from house to house, in public places, and in business territories, the Governing Body is guilty of undermining the faith and discouraging millions of publishers and pioneers who have been confined to home by the very institution that is responsible for directing the work.
It is true, fear of man is a snare. According to the sterling example of Nancy Yuen Jehovah’s Witnesses ought to defy their masters in Warwick. After all, the diminutive preacher refused to obey the Chinese communists even though it resulted in a harsh 20-year prison sentence. Yet millions of Jehovah’s Witnesses dutifully obey the “faithful slave” even though by the Watchtower’s own words not preaching publicly is detrimental to a Christian’s faith.
The 59th chapter of Isaiah presents God’s view of the present situation. “For your palms are polluted with blood and your fingers with error. Your lips speak lies, and your tongue mutters unrighteousness. No one calls out for righteousness, and no one goes to court in truthfulness. They trust in unreality and speak what is worthless. They conceive trouble and give birth to what is harmful. They hatch the eggs of a poisonous snake, and they weave the cobweb of a spider. Anyone who eats their eggs would die, and the egg that is crushed hatches a viper. Their cobweb will not serve as a garment, nor will they cover themselves with what they make. Their works are harmful, and deeds of violence are in their hands.” — Isaiah 59:3-6
Besides the wall of lies built around 1914, the child abuse whitewash, the lies behind their 10-year NGO partnership with the UN, the Watchtower has most recently conceived an evil scheme under the guise of saving lives.
Astonishingly, the organization that exists solely for the purpose of training and motivating Kingdom preachers and Bible teachers has weaved a web of lies and hatched a poisonous plot to destroy Christ’s work in them.
Again, by their own words, not preaching publicly is detrimental to a Christian’s spiritual health. Ordering Christians not to go out preaching publicly is harmful. It is a form of violence just as real as the communist persecution of Nancy Yuen. Who else but Satan the Devil could maneuver things to seduce the Governing Body to shutter every Kingdom hall in the world and order JW’s to cease their public ministry indefinitely? Whoever eats the Watchtower’s demonic “eggs” will surely die spiritually!
Who else but Jehovah God the Almighty could have foreseen this development 27 centuries ago? Speaking for the anointed during the bleak period just ahead, Isaiah goes on to prayerfully confess to God: “We grope for the wall like blind men; like those without eyes we keep groping. We stumble at high noon as in evening darkness; among the strong we are just like the dead. We all keep growling like bears and cooing mournfully like doves. We hope for justice, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far away from us. For our revolts are many before you; each of our sins testifies against us. For our revolts are with us; We well know our errors. We have transgressed and denied Jehovah; we have turned our backs on our God. We have spoken of oppression and revolt; we have conceived lies and muttered false words from the heart.” — Isaiah 59:10-13
The Governing Body has taken the lead in turning its back on God. They have denied Jehovah. Following the dictates of the UN’s WHO is paramount. Obeying Covid protocol is all-important. Jehovah must take a backseat.
