From among you yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves.Acts 20:30.

Sadly, the original Christian congregation gradually became corrupted.  As indicated by Jesus, such apostasy, promoted by “the wicked one,” Satan, would grow and obscure true Christianity until “the conclusion of the system of things.” Then Jehovah would enthrone Jesus as King over the world of mankind. That happened in October 1914, marking the beginning of “the last days” of Satan’s wicked system.  Modern-day anointed Christians pointed in advance to October 1914 as a significant date. They based this on Daniel’s prophecy about a large tree that was cut down and would grow again after “seven times.” Jesus referred to this same period as “the appointed times of the nations” in his prophecy about his future presence and “the conclusion of the system of things.”

COMMENTARY

Nothing is more twisted than the Watchtower’s 1914 doctrine and all that has been attached to it; such as the idea that the concluding harvest has already begun and that Jehovah’s Witnesses have entered into spiritual paradise. I have literally spent hundreds of hours unraveling the twisted maze of interpretations the Watchtower has published heralding 1914 as the most important date in all history. In spite of their teaching being laid threadbare, in 2014 the Society celebrated one hundred years of Kingdom rule.

How true Jehovah’s word directed to the leading men of his organization: “How you twist things! Should the potter be regarded the same as the clay? Should what is made say about its maker: ‘He did not make me’? And does what is formed say about its former: ‘He shows no understanding’?”

In the near future the actual conclusion and the presence of Christ will commence. Then the Watchtower will no longer have the power to keep Jehovah’s Witnesses in the dark. The 29th chapter of Isaiah continues: “In that day the deaf will hear the words of the book, and out of the gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind will see. The meek will rejoice greatly in Jehovah, and the poor among men will be joyful in the Holy One of Israel.  For the tyrant will be no more, the boaster will come to his finish, and all those keeping alert to do harm will be destroyed, those who with a false word make others guilty, who lay traps for the defender in the city gate, and who with empty arguments deny justice to the righteous one.”

If Jehovah’s Witnesses have had their eyes opened as a result of Christ supposedly beginning to rule the world in 1914, why have not the tyrants and boasters already come to their end?

And clearly, Isaiah is not referring to the tyrants and boasters of the world in general. It is referring to the tyrants who rule over the meek lovers of Jehovah; who boast of having great insights into the Scriptures; who assume an air of holiness; who intimidate and disfellowship anyone who dares to question them or not accept their interpretations; who deny justice to thousands of children who have been raped and abused by Jehovah’s Witnesses. The coming of Christ will bring an end to their “arrangement.”
