The eyes of Jehovah are roving about through all the earth to show his strength in behalf of those whose heart is complete toward him.2 Chron. 16:9.

Jehovah is intensely interested in those who belong to him. Therefore, we can have absolute confidence that what we do for Jehovah “out of a clean heart” is never in vain.  It is also sobering to know that Jehovah does not tolerate hypocritical worship. As his eyes “are roving about through all the earth,” he can detect those whose heart is not “complete toward him.” “Jehovah detests a devious person,” says Proverbs 3:32, such as one who deliberately puts up a front, feigning obedience while practicing sin in secret. Although a devious person may skillfully deceive other humans for a while, Jehovah’s almightiness and righteousness guarantee that “the one covering over his transgressions will not succeed.”

COMMENTARY

What is true for individuals may also apply to groups of individuals, such as those grouped in organizations and corporations. And it is hard to imagine a more devious scheme than what the Watchtower has perpetrated against Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Although the deception covers a wide range of Bible prophecies, which have been the topics of dozens of articles on this website and in the book, it all comes down to one intent: deluding Jehovah’s Witnesses into believing that Jesus has already come and that his other coming, call it the third coming of Christ, is to destroy the world and usher the faithful into paradise. In other words, there is no day of reckoning. The judgment of the house of God has been reduced to mere theocratic history.

To illustrate the point, the Watchtower teaches that the organization is a spiritual paradise. Even though the Bible describes a blessed condition where there will not be even one predatory person to menace God’s people, illustrated by the lion laying down with the lamb, the Watchtower has succeeded in convincing Jehovah’s Witnesses that the organization is such a place, even though thousands of children have been molested by predatory perverts.

Stephen Lett (pictured above) once scolded the Bethel family for their daring to believe the widely publicized reports that the Governing Body has tolerated child abuse. Such reports were apostate lies -“ridiculous,” fumed the Governing Body member during “Morning Worship.” (YouTube clip of Lett scene)

Of course, the thousands of victims of Jehovah’s Witnesses pedophiles do not think that such charges are ridiculous. Neither do legal authorities who have been involved in numerous law suites against the Watchtower. And we may be certain Jehovah does not consider the accusations against those whom he has entrusted to protect his sheep to be ridiculous either.

As another example of their deviousness, the prophecy of Zephaniah foretells that Jehovah will create a “pure language” that will be the mother tongue of his cleansed people. Again, the Watchtower has convinced Jehovah’s Witnesses that because they all are all unified in believing the same dogma they are speaking the foretold pure language. However, the third chapter of Zephaniah clearly indicates that the “change” comes in the aftermath of God rising up to the prize, when he pours out his wrath. Here is how the latest version of the New World Translation words it: “‘So keep yourselves in expectation of me,’ declares Jehovah, ‘Until the day when I rise up to take plunder, for my judicial decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out on them my indignation, all my burning anger; for by the fire of my zeal the whole earth will be consumed. For then I will change the language of the peoples to a pure language, so that all of them may call on the name of Jehovah, to serve him shoulder to shoulder.’”

Anyone who simply reads the passage above without the Governing Body’s commentary ought to be able to discern the truth. The truth is, the change comes in the aftermath of the outpouring of Jehovah’s burning anger. The prophecy goes on to relate the results of the execution of God’s judgments —the creation of a true spiritual paradise. “For then I will remove the haughty boasters from among you; and you will never again be haughty in my holy mountain. I will allow a humble and lowly people to remain in your midst, and they will take refuge in the name of Jehovah. Those remaining of Israel will practice no unrighteousness; they will not speak a lie, nor will a deceitful tongue be found in their mouths; they will feed and lie down, and no one will make them afraid.”

The leadership of Jehovah’s Witnesses cannot understand this because they are the haughty boasters who have worked deceit. But their days are numbered. Their lies will not stand up to the heat of God’s indignation. The day of Jehovah’s rising up for the plunder is very near.
