The book of Revelation is like a portal. Not only is it an account of things to come, but it is a window into the invisible dimension. The 12th chapter presents a great sign in heaven: “A woman was arrayed with the sun, and the moon was beneath her feet, and on her head was a crown of 12 stars, and she was pregnant. And she was crying out in her pains and in her agony to give birth.”

Next, a war erupts in heaven: “Michael and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled  but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them any longer in heaven.  So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him.”

The doings in heaven are undetectable by earthlings. There is no electronic device or telescope capable of peering into the spirit realm. The war that will erupt and the ultimate ouster of the Devil will only be discernible after the fact—when the head of the beast is fatally struck and recovers, after which the holy ones will be targeted and crushed.

There is no question—at least in my mind—that the war in heaven did not take place in 1914. Everything the Watchtower has taught in connection with 1914 is part of the operation of Satan—the deluding influence under which Jehovah’s Witnesses labor according to the will of God.

Given our human limitations and the deceptive signs and powerful works Satan has been allowed to perform up to this moment, and the fact that all warfare is based on deception, it is possible, and I am leaning towards probable, that the war in heaven has taken place quite recently and that the demons have been thrown down.

There is no chronology that allows us to determine when the Kingdom will come to power, thus initiating the war in heaven. The seven times is merely a clever gimmick and is in fact the key element of the 1914 delusion. The only chronology related to the post-war in heaven is variously expressed by the 1,260 day period that begins when the slain beast miraculously comes alive. However, there is an indeterminate interim period between the war in heaven and the death and resurrection of the beast. That interim appears to be expressed by the following: “And it stood still on the sand of the sea.” — Revelation 13:1

“It” is in reference to the dragon after it is thrown down from heaven. As if conjuring itself into a physical presence on earth, Revelation next says: “And I saw a wild beast ascending out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, and on its horns ten diadems, but on its heads blasphemous names. Now the wild beast that I saw was like a leopard, but its feet were like those of a bear, and its mouth was like a lion’s mouth. And the dragon gave to the beast its power and its throne and great authority.”

It is true, the symbolic seven-headed beast has been in existence since the Egyptian Pharaohs, predating Moses. But according to His will God has at times used empires under Satan’s control to benefit His people. For example, when the Jews were in captivity in Babylon Jehovah maneuvered the Medo-Persian empire under Cyrus to overthrow Babylon. An angel explained to Daniel that he stood up as a strengthener to the king of Persia in order to secure the release of the Jews. And during the Christian era the Roman empire was somewhat restrained from totally eradicating Christians from the realm.

So, the dragon giving its power and great authority to the beast is something that has not occurred before. And it can only happen if God allows it, which he will. The wild beast will become the fullest expression of the demonic principalities. Again, that is something that can only happen if Christ, the King of kings, Lord of lords, and Prince of princes, withdraws his restraint and no longer stands as a strengthener to any present-day kingdoms.

Coinciding with the dragon standing still on the sand of the sea, the restraint imposed upon the man of lawlessness will also be removed. Who has been acting as a restraint to the man of lawlessness? None other than Jesus, the head of the congregation. Did not Jesus say he would be with his disciples all the days until the conclusion of the system? If Christ is with his disciples until the conclusion, then during the time of the end he will not be with them until his parousia begins. During that interval, the man of lawlessness will go unrestrained. Presumably, then he will issue his fatal “life-saving instructions” to those who have not loved the truth.

Given the blanket of impenetrable lies smothering the world and the imposition of tyranny on every level under the guise of saving lives from a phony pandemic, the impending collapse of the global financial system and the rise of the deep state hamstringing national governments, not to mention the increasing of lawlessness within the leadership of Jehovah’s Witnesses as it channels the vaccine mandate emanating from the beast, it appears as if the dragon has come down and Christ has removed all restraint.
