The name of God is being blasphemed among the nations because of you.—Rom. 2:24.

What a privilege it is for us not only to know God’s personal name but also to bear it as “a people for his name.” We implore our heavenly Father: “Let your name be sanctified.” Your making such a request may move you to ask Jehovah to help you to avoid doing or saying anything that would dishonor his holy name. We do not want to be like some in the first century who did not practice what they preached, as mentioned in today’s text. What is needed for God’s name to be completely sanctified and cleared of all reproach? For that to happen, Jehovah must act to remove all who willfully reject his sovereignty.  Mankind will gradually be brought to perfection. How we long for the time when all intelligent creation will treat Jehovah’s name as holy! Then, at last, our loving heavenly Father will “be all things to everyone.”

The Watchtower’s hypocrisy is becoming heavier by the day. It is hard to bear. There is no humility —not even a hint.

Keeping in mind that the churches of Christendom look askew upon the common usage of the name of God; whereas, obviously the religion known as the Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses has officially attached God’s name to itself –as the public is well aware –the unavoidable fact is, no institution in the world has brought more reproach upon the name of Jehovah than the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.

As much as the Governing Body has tried to conceal the organization’s misdoings —defiantly labeling their detractors as apostates and the biased media, millions of people aren’t buying it. They believe the countless stories of child abuse and coverup, of millions paid out in hush money, out-of-court settlements. And a growing number of Jehovah’s Witnesses realize the leadership of the organization are liars and hypocrites. None of this reflects well upon the name of Jehovah.

Consider the question posed in the text: “What is needed for God’s name to be completely sanctified and cleared of all reproach? For that to happen, Jehovah must act to remove all who willfully reject his sovereignty.”

And there you have it. In their hypocritical concern for the sanctification of God’s name the Watchtower has condemned itself —even as the scripture says: “According to their way I shall act toward them, and with their judgments I shall judge them; and they will have to know that I am Jehovah.” —Ez 7:27

By the Watchtower’s own assessment the only way for the name of Jehovah to be cleared of reproach is for God to act against them, in order to remove wicked and faithless men. That, of course, is exactly what Christ intends to do. Jesus explained it in an illustration when he said: “The Son of man will send his angels, and they will collect out from his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling and people who practice lawlessness, and they will pitch them into the fiery furnace. There is where their weeping and the gnashing of their teeth will be.”

The prophecy of Zephaniah goes into more detail regarding the day of Jehovah, also foretelling the removal of the stumbling blocks of the wicked –indicating that the judgment comes against the princes and complacent ones who imagine Jehovah to be a do-nothing God. To be sure, Bethel’s mighty spiritual warriors are going to freak out: Wail, you inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the tradesmen have been done away with; all those weighing out silver have been destroyed. At that time I will carefully search Jerusalem with lamps, and I will call to account the complacent ones, who say in their heart, ‘Jehovah will not do good, and he will not do bad.’ Their wealth will be plundered and their houses will be devastated. They will build houses, but they will not occupy them; and they will plant vineyards, but they will not drink wine from them. The great day of Jehovah is near! It is near and it is approaching very quickly! The sound of the day of Jehovah is bitter. There a warrior cries out.”

Even as the Governing Body has constructed a plush headquarters palace for itself in the New York countryside and apparently expects to be untouched when the cities explode in chaos, and it sells dedicated properties like house flippers do –its “tradesmen” are “weighing out the silver,” dabbling in hedge funds with the wealth extracted from widows and children donors –they will not enjoy their faux paradise much longer. The reason being –the day of Jehovah is approaching very quickly. Already the most powerful nations on earth are war-gaming and maneuvering their forces into position for war. Jehovah is mustering his forces to wreck the world.

Perhaps it will someday be seen as the most ill-timed and cringe-worthy of all pronouncements, a Governing Body “helper” has defiantly boasted on the November JW Broadcast episode that the organization will “never change” their two witness rule; which, presumably means they will –as a matter of policy –continue to disregard the spiritual welfare of children abused by pedophiles in their midst and refuse to cooperate with the police whose investigative expertise could serve as a second witnesses to child abuse allegations. Nevertheless, the coming purge will force a change —a change to a pure language, that is —a language of truth, unmarred by the hypocritical babble of theocratic blowhards.

The end result of the coming purge is described in the third chapter of Zephaniah, which says: “On that day you will not be put to shame because of all your deeds with which you rebelled against me, for then I will remove the haughty boasters from among you; and you will never again be haughty in my holy mountain. I will allow a humble and lowly people to remain in your midst, and they will take refuge in the name of Jehovah. Those remaining of Israel will practice no unrighteousness; they will not speak a lie, nor will a deceitful tongue be found in their mouths; they will feed and lie down, and no one will make them afraid.”

What a wonderful time that will be. Jehovah’s people will no longer be subjected to the petty tyranny of pharisaical hypocrites. Those who do survive the purge will have been humbled under the mighty hand of Christ and will never again speak against the truth or bring reproach upon Jehovah.
