A common question that I get from readers of this blog and viewers on YouTube is about my status as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. And it is not uncommon for people to express their confusion over the fact, that, on the one hand I support the faith of Jehovah’s Witnesses and defend the core doctrines and teachings of the Watchtower Society. Yet, on the other hand, I am severely critical of the leadership of the organization, particularly as regards their interpretation of prophecy and their hypocritical dealings, petty tyrannies and backdoor lawyering.
But we should try not to be so simplistic in our thinking. Take for example the Hebrew prophets. They were certainly staunch advocates of the worship of Jehovah and as circumcised Jews they were all members of a nation dedicated to God. But, they also denounced the leadership of God’s people. That was their assignment. That is what God commanded them to do. And the kings and priests and prophets, against whom the prophets prophesied, demanded that the prophets cease-and-desist their prophesying.
I am in a similar position, being a staunch promoter of the truth and the faith of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and simultaneously driven to announcing Jehovah’s coming judgment, particularly upon the leadership, for which I have been ostracized – disfellowshipped being the official theocratic terminology.
I think only a relative handful of Jehovah’s Witnesses who are familiar with the information presented on e-watchman actually perceive the big picture – the “big picture” being, that, the Watchtower Society has been used by Christ to accomplish an important phase of a work preceding the end of this system, but the judgment is yet to begin.
For the past 10 years this has been the thrust of my message, which has been broadcasted beyond the confines of the Internet directly to thousands of kingdom halls and elders, assembly halls, branch overseers and to the hierarchy of the Watchtower Society.
To be clear, certainly Jehovah’s Witnesses believe in the coming judgment upon the world, but there is no expectation for what the Scriptures refer to as a judgment upon the house of God. It seems in fact, that the Watchtower is particularly intent on obscuring what the prophecies indicate is to actually occur with the coming of Jesus.
