Is the Watchtower Gaslighting Jehovah’s Witnesses?

2022-09-29T08:55:00-04:00September 6th, 2020|Commentary, Page One|

Sunday, September 6 The Law has a shadow of the good things to come. —Heb. 10:1. The Law specifically protected those who could not protect themselves, such as orphans, widows, and foreign residents. The judges in Israel were told: “You must not pervert the judgment of the foreign resident or of the fatherless child, and you must not seize the garment of a widow as security [...]

King Saul – A Type of the Evil Slave

2019-09-21T13:16:02-04:00January 28th, 2017|Commentary|

Saturday, January 28 Let me pin him to the ground with the spear just once, and I will not need to do it twice.—1 Sam. 26:8. When Abishai crept into Saul’s camp, he did not have his loyalties in the proper order. Out of loyalty to David, Abishai was eager to kill King Saul, but David restrained him, realizing that it would be wrong to lift one’s hand [...]

Satan, ever posing as an angel of light

2019-09-21T13:31:17-04:00January 4th, 2017|Commentary|

Wednesday, January 4 Take your stand against [Satan].—1 Pet. 5:9. As servants of Jehovah, we are not among those who are misled into thinking that Satan does not exist. We know that the Devil is real, for it was Satan who spoke to Eve through a serpent.  Satan taunted Jehovah regarding Job.  It was Satan who tried to tempt Jesus.  And after the birth of God’s Kingdom in [...]

Alberta court weighs in on JW disfellowshipping

Alberta courts are wading into the controversial territory of jurisdiction over religious organizations after the Alberta Court of Appeal decided to allow the Court of Queen's Bench to hear an application relating to the 2014 expulsion of a member of the Highwood Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. The appellate court sided with Randy Wall, a local real estate agent and member of the Congregation who faced expulsion after admitting to being drunk on two [...]

Should Jehovah’s Witnesses stay or leave?

QUESTION: I  like your website and find it really interesting . I agree with many points you make, as it explains loads of the Watchtower's contradictions regarding their explanation of Bible prophecies. I agree that Jehovah Witnesses do the preaching work and proclaim good news as described in Bible, and generally JW’s have the truth. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, however, I disagree with their  past and recent  explanations of Bible prophecy. And the history of the Watchtower only proves that they never been right. My question to you is, what is your opinion ( or general advice to JW ) on staying in an organization that teaches such untrue and puzzling things, but at the same time  is right about many other things? It is really confusing and difficult being a JW and knowing that so many have been stumbled over these issues. I'd like to hear your opinion on WT disfellowshipping and shunning policy from Bible perspective as well .  Your reply in any form would by much appreciated.
