There is Where His Weeping and the Gnashing of His Teeth Will Be

2019-09-21T14:12:58-04:00September 29th, 2016|Commentary|

Thursday, September 29 There is where his weeping and the gnashing of his teeth will be.—Matt. 25:30. In the parable of the talents, the last slave buried his talent instead of doing business with it or even depositing it with the bankers. This slave showed a bad spirit, for he deliberately worked against the master’s interests. The master rightly pronounced him “wicked and sluggish.” The master took [...]

Who Will Weep and Gnash Their Teeth?

2022-09-30T10:26:38-04:00December 10th, 2015|Commentary|

Thursday, December 10 There is where their weeping and the gnashing of their teeth will be.—Matt. 13:42. Is that happening right now? No. Today, Christendom, as part of the harlot, still says about herself: “I sit a queen, and I am no widow, and I shall never see mourning.” Indeed, Christendom feels very much in charge, even presuming to ‘sit as a queen’ atop the class of political [...]

Jehovah’s Witnesses – In the Eye of Horus

2019-09-20T13:25:27-04:00September 24th, 2017|Page Two|

It may sound odd, but if there is anything that proves Jehovah’s Witnesses are the true faith it is the presence of an evil within. Ironically, an expression of that evil is the belief imposed upon Jehovah’s Witnesses by the leadership of the Watchtower that there is no evil presence. Jehovah’s Witnesses are supposed to be in spiritual paradise --insulated from the Devil's influence. To [...]

Addressing Accusations of Apostasy

2019-09-20T13:58:42-04:00July 5th, 2017|Mailbag|

This is a response to an email I recently received from one of Jehovah's Witnesses.  Satan has long used apostates in his efforts to seduce God's servants (Matt.13:36-39) Apostates may claim to worship Jehovah and to believe the Bible, but they reject the visible part of his organization. This is not true. The real apostates are very much apart of God’s organization. They praise the organization [...]

Jehovah’s strange and unusual work

2021-02-03T11:39:10-05:00April 28th, 2017|Commentary|

Friday, April 28 Wicked men and impostors will advance from bad to worse.—2 Tim. 3:13. History has demonstrated beyond any doubt the truthfulness of what the Bible says: “I well know, O Jehovah, that man’s way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step.” No, Jehovah did not create humans with the ability or the right to direct their [...]

You do not know you are blind and naked

2022-12-25T06:54:46-05:00March 26th, 2017|Commentary|

Jehovah's Witnesses Daily Text Sunday, March 26 We want to go with you, for we have heard that God is with you people.—Zech. 8:23. If it is not possible to know with certainty the names of all spiritual Israelites on earth today, how can members of the other sheep “go with” them? Notice what the prophecy in Zechariah states concerning the figurative ten men. These ones would [...]

Are Jehovah’s Witnesses in spiritual paradise?

2019-09-21T13:12:26-04:00February 7th, 2017|Commentary|

Tuesday, February 7 I will glorify the place for my feet.—Isa. 60:13. The expression “spiritual paradise” has become a part of our theocratic vocabulary. It describes our unique, spiritually rich environment, or condition, which allows us to enjoy peace with God and with our brothers. Of course, we should not conclude that the terms “spiritual paradise” and “spiritual temple” are the same. The spiritual temple is God’s [...]

So it will be in the conclusion of the system

2019-09-21T13:55:59-04:00October 30th, 2016|Commentary|

Sunday, October 30 So it will be in the conclusion of the system of things.—Matt. 13:40. “The conclusion of the system of things” began in 1914. During the war that broke out that year, the few thousand anointed Christians, “the sons of the Kingdom,” were in spiritual captivity to Babylon the Great. In 1919, Jehovah delivered them, making a clear distinction between them and “the weeds,” or imitation [...]

How Will Jehovah’s Witnesses Know When to Leave the WT?

2019-10-01T13:03:52-04:00August 1st, 2014|Mailbag|

QUESTION: How will Jehovah's people know when it is time to abandon the Watchtower and how will God let them know? God gave convincing proofs to help ancient Israel to make the switch to the new Israel.  ANSWER: First, the “switch to the new Israel” was not as smooth and easy as we might imagine. Many of the Jews who accepted Christ found it very difficult to [...]

Part 6 – The Coming of Christ

2019-10-01T14:24:25-04:00May 4th, 2013|WT Review|

This is a continuation of the consideration of the July 2013, Watchtower.

In the fifth paragraph under the subheading of A Messenger Clears Up The Way, the concluding sentences state:

Jesus was the second messenger. He cleansed the temple in Jerusalem twice—first at the start of his ministry and second toward the end. (Matt. 21:12, 13; John 2:14-17) Hence, Jesus’ cleansing work involved a period of time.

The Watchtower is here implying that Jesus did a cleansing work of the Jewish temple for the whole duration of his ministry. This is simply not true. It is true that Jesus chased off the moneychangers and robbers on two separate occasions – both when he attended the festival of the Passover, but it was not an ongoing process. (Not coincidently, the prophetic time periods when God’s judgments are brought about during the time of the end are roughly equal to the duration of Jesus’ earthly ministry. See article: Regarding Times and Seasons)
