If Satan and his angels are let loose from their dungeon-like captivity they will likely materialize in human flesh as they did prior to the deluge. In Rev 9 John saw a star that fell from heaven into the earth, saying that the key of the bottomless pit was given him. What occurred next is a darkening of the air. Could this language lend itself to the actual appearance of the Devil and his angels on earth during the tribulation at the sounding of the 5th trumpet? If in fact God has taken away their power to materialize, it appears that they would regain it upon their release from the abyss or bottomless pit. If not, then the demons are definitely going to be using a lot of rebellious people to carry out their nefarious activity here on earth to cause as much destruction as possible on a scale never before seen in history. It is no wonder that the angel of the abyss is called Abaddon and Apollyon, the Destroyer, in Hebrew and Greek respectively. (Rev 9:11) It is not until after the 7th trumpet that Christ appears with his heavenly army to destroy the works of the Devil.

E-watchman is really a 'happy chappy' in this podcast photo, in fact without his glasses, and sombre expression, had to look at least twice lol
well, it must be time to 'Lift up our heads, and rejoice, for our deliverance ...." will come after the greatest test on mankind by God's 'adversary' and will involve ALL CHRISTIANS throughout the earth....so its logical there would be an antichrist Global Government ruling worldwide, another 'holocaust' so to speak...

The Watchtower's delusion had dumbed down millions of people who believe the LIE that they will be 'saved by their works' and followed the 'commands of men' all in the NAME of GOD....and who will be totally unprepared for their FAITH to be tested, during the 1260 days and after that when the IMAGE is set up during the following month to 1290 days ?? Where is "the Stone " and his other nom de plumes, when we need his mathematics lol

Very interesting ewatchman, is there any chance you could speak on the context sometime on the sequence of how and when the king of the north rises up and when babylon the great is destroyed as it seems clear to me the watchtower doesnt seem to have much sense on this.

In the 7th chapter of Revelation we see four angels holding tight the four winds of the earth. They were granted to harm the earth, the sea and the trees, but were told to wait until the sealing of the 144,000. The four winds is a reference to the great tribulation. Therefore, we should expect the 144,000 to appear on the scene of the world immediately prior to the tribulation. That means they will be on hand to start rallying the great crowd during the seven-trumpet judgments. The sixth trumpet is when the governmental wild beast implements the 666 mark of the beast. That's why the last trumpet announces the seven last plagues. By that time the end time harvest comes to an end, and the angelic reapers gathers the wheat into Christ's store house, and binds the weeds throwing them into the furnace. "There is where the gnashing and grinding of teeth will be" as brought out in that parable.

    Hi everybody:

Throughout the entire time of the leadership of C.T. Russell and a part of the presidency of J.F.Rutherford the following was the view of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (WBTS):

“We find statements by both prophets and apostles which clearly indicate that in the times of restitution, Israel as a nation will be the first among the nations to come into harmony with the new order of things; that the earthly Jerusalem will be rebuilt upon her own heaps, and that their polity will be restored as in thebeginning under princes or judges (Isa. 1:26; Psa. 45:16; Jer. 30:18). The Divine Plan of the Ages, p. 294.”

Yet WBTS publications since 1946 express the completely opposite view concerning Israel. This view is called Replacement Theology and in its extreme form concerns the teaching that Israel is permanently excluded from any future role in God’s purpose and that the many unfulfilled prophecies pertaining to natural Israel are now to be applied to the Christian Congregation. The initial details leading to this teaching were first presented in about the year 144 C.E by the heretic Marcion because of his hatred for all things Jewish. The teaching was later developed and taught by Origen and was further developed by Augustine in conjunction with his allegorical interpretation of prophecy, all of which became early orthodox Catholic teaching concerning Israel and became known also as supercessionism.

The WBTS understands Jesus’ statement as an irrevocable divorce decree, indicating that God has no further interest in literal Israel or even a remnant of it. However, Jesus’ words in Matthew 23:38, 39 were directed to “the scribes (teachers of the Law) and Pharisees;” in other words to the religious leaders of Israel. Furthermore, the use of the word “until” by Jesus left the door open for these literal Jewish religious leaders to repent. So this is not an irrevocable divorce decree, but rather it is a conditional statement.

Evidently it is only through Christ that one can be part of “the people of God” and therefore of “the Israel of God”. So, all natural Jews now and in the future must come to God through Christ if they wish to be part of “the people of God.”

Paul shows, in Romans 9 and 11, that the rejection of literal Israel is temporary whilst they are in unbelief having “had their sensibilities blunted” (Rom. 11:7) and that at the return of Christ a “remnant … will be saved” because they will at that time accept Christ.

Bruno :: What is y our disagreement with Robert King, about the 144,000 .....who are the "firstfruits" of the resurrection, and will all go up to meet
the Lord in the air, "in the clouds" or with the clouds as said in Matthew or Luke., which could mean accompanied by angels.....

Part of the 144.000 are called the "2 witnesses" who picture Moses & ELIJAH in the 'transfiguration' because they will have the same powers during the Gt Tribulation see Rev 11:5,6 The 'Remnant' are the "sealed sons of Gods Kingdom" "2witnesses" also referred to as "the great crowd" in Rev 7:9 who 'come out of the tribulation having washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb" & are before the throne of God....also mentioned in Rev 19 twice,
with reference to the "Marriage of the Lamb"

These are part of the "New Creation" from the NEW COVENANT and the "Israel" you speak about were part of the OLD COVENANT.
