I'm surprised the Watchman did not mention the whole truth concerning slavery in the Bible. While it is true fellow Jews could be set free after a certain period of time, however, that only applied to other Jews. Jews enslaving non-Jews were not released. It was perpetual slavery. And furthermore, a Jew could trick another Jew into becoming a permanent slave by simply giving them a wife. If the slave decides to leave after "his term," his wife then belongs to his master -- including their kids. That's just detestable. Owning another person is wrong. But "God" never even tried to clear this up. Looks like he would have set that straight to begin with. I agree with the caller. It's not transcendent wisdom from a loving God, definitely not one worthy of worship. You'd come out better worshipping arsenic
No doubt you have considered worshipping arsenic as an alternative to the God of Life. Or maybe you actually have. It would not surprise me.

Was that your voice that asked about the slaves on the podcast? Anyway, You state: "It's not transcendent wisdom from a loving God, definitely not one worthy of worship. You'd come out better worshipping arsenic." I ask you Anzwertree, why do you have to be so toxic and disrespectful towards GOD? You push some buttons sometimes that probably tick-off a lot of people. But that is your style I guess. Like most people, you never had any type of divine experience. But that should not make you a sour, faith destroying person for all other people should it? I feel that you have good in you, there is some sparks of faith but you have to feed it. Most importantly, try to trust in a divine being known as Jehovah (English) or his son Jesus Christ. In time IF you humble yourself, I promise, you will take on a new energy or flame inside of you. But you are somewhat hardened and short sighted as only those without vision and hope have become.
On the other hand, you are very intelligent and articulate. Please don't insult common truths and common sense as applied to the universe by stating there is no God or supreme being. There is no need to re-hash all the things said in other posts and debate again over mundane things that are so elementary to us...and to you.
I dare say that an olive branch is being extended to you and all peoples by the Divine assembly. No human should perish because of pride and arrogance. Not calling you either one, so don't travel that road. Pursue those sparks of life and intuitiveness I see in you. You will be glad you did.;lp?
Give the slave thing a rest, it is old news. What was cannot be changed. Jehovah did not and does not approve of slavery. Think about it. Slavery was an invention of mankind, not God. God allows mankind to do as he desires until the appointed time.
If GOD intervened every time he saw mankind doing something wrong, there obviously would be no freedom of choice and mankind would never LEARN from mistakes and intentional sin. Mankind chooses his own path but, is free to take direction AND build faith in God and his son Jesus Christ. The key that many don't touch on is that FAITH MUST BE PURE. Not doubting, not turning back and those that exercise this faith must be willing to loose all fleshly things (life-family-etc) if put to the test. It is a very serious and hard test for any human to pass. But, Jehovah and his son Jesus is merciful. Of course the choice or any decision of being merciful is made by the Lord Jesus Christ since all things were turned over to him.
So, let us talk about you. Hope your family is well. Has the price of diesel put you out of business? Are you still driving for a living? I hope things get better for everybody but it is best to prepare for the worst. That way, when bad times get worse, you are more apt to survive and keep living.

I don't think anything was Judgmental in Kim's post. It was well written, presentable, spoke the truth and the post was full of additional information, and a viewpoint not common among people.
I am amazed. The atheist is "at a loss for words." Best we not open the door to endless debate on the subject.

I have noticed your posts on and off for maybe a year or so. But I’m noticing a distinctive change in your approach, encouraging, hopeful, respectful and kind full of solid spiritual reasoning’s. Not that your former post didn’t have all those qualities, but your posts of late have that extra ZIP and power to them… I’m finding them very encouraging of which we all very much need as Satan’s system begins its spiraling smoking nose dive into the abyssal.
I have also noticed that little spark in Anzwertree myself and in the past pumped the billow on him, I believe he had faith in our creator at one time in the past. As my mother always says “if there is life there is hope”
