    Watchman Podcast, episode #24

This program considers questions such as: Has evil always existed? How does the holy spirit operate today? Are there still such things as blessings and curses? What about demon possession? Is it still common? Why was there so much demon possession during the time Jesus was on the earth? Will Adam and Eve be resurrected?

Program closes out with a 2 minute musical interlude of the One Man Watchman Garage Band playing an interpretation of Psalm 1 ;~)

That musical part was nice - especially harmonica :-) ( I like that instrument very much )

Hey there Mr. King. I myself am a musician, I've produced and mixed many songs but I leave the mastering to the professionals. You can use a metronome to help with the timing issue; also you should try using some reverb, it gives the song depth. Overall, it's not as bad as I anticipated :) Looking forward to psalm 2. If you need tips, I'm a click away. Keep it up!

So, does God simply dictate what is good and bad? Does God instruct us to do what is right because it is good, or does God merely decide what's right and wrong?

Oh yea, I'd like to point out something non-offensive. Back when I believed in God, during my JW years, there was an older man. He was like a grandfather to me. Still love that guy, but he told me something I never forgot.

Once I asked him why Adam and Eve didn't die in the day they ate of the tree -- like God said. He looked right at me and said, they did die that day. They died the very day they ate of the tree. In fact, every person that has ever lived or died has also died the same day Adam and Eve ate of the tree.

He explained this was because God's "day or rest" never concluded. It's supposed to last up until the Kingdom is given back to the father -- when God starts "creating again" I always liked that explanation. It seemed magical

As a buttress to your friends reasoning’s Solomon also stated the same thing in my estimation.
Man has the same eventuality as a beast (as the beast dies so does the Man).

It is a scientific certainty once a human is born they most assuredly will die!

The only thing a humans can do to perpetuate them selves is spread there seed, seed baring trees and vegetables can do the same.
Nothing to magical about that just basic reality.

As for Gods rest and who enters into that or when it starts – that’s a deeper subject and not an easy one to understand from “are” infinitely self centered short lived perspective.

I was thinking of atheist the other day – They claim to base all there conclusions on pure fact and those facts backed by known science.
But the question has to be asked!
    If science doesn’t know the end of it i.e. the universe as far as they can reach; and then the other direction i.e. quantum mechanics as far as they can reach that way;
Living in ignorance of the beginning and the end of the universe or even which started first, how can they be certain of anything?
    I’m just asking!

Well, it's not always so clear. Atheism doesn't really tell you much about the person. Things like beliefs and a person's outlook on life cannot be accurately summed up with a word.

To me, belief should be based on evidence. It doesn't have to be certainties. Dismiss the whole notion of absolutes. I have no idea what will absolutely happen. As far as humanity and the universe and everything, really dude, I'm not afraid to admit its all pretty awesome. However, none of these supernatural stories do this universe justice. If there is a higher truth, don't fool yourself into thinking you already know it.

Always interesting how the podcast comments diverge and seemingly have no direct relation to the content of the podcast and become a forum for disparate opinions on just about anything. Anyway, another great set of Q and A's to consider. Thanks Mr. King for the musical 'interlude' - it really sounds like you're having fun with it and it certainly adds to the very personal 'feel' of these podcasts. I was just thinking to myself what a likable fellow you must be be in person.

Didn't mean to go off topic. But yea, I agree. Watchman reminds me of my grandfather. I'm sure he's an awesome dude. That's why I always watch his videos and listen to his podcasts. I don't have to agree with everything he says to appreciate his commitments

Honestly I thought the Pod cast was OK – I get revved up listening to watchmans pod casts just not every time.

Anzwertree used to be on the “hook” but now he been enlightened, so I like to pick on him if the spirit moves me – my spirit that is // as far as I know its mine!!

I didn’t know we needed to be on subject – sorry if I offended.

Oh, really, you haven't seen the other side of the Watchman yet! Sometimes he can be a terribly horrible goof. He called me a slithering snake once. Funny thing is I'm still here helping him out, but the creeper doesn't think he needs any help. Nope, he doesn’t think he needs watering and light to go on creeping. Nope, not from the Stone. . .

    Stone,

Just trust in the FORCE young Stone Walker! You will be fine! LOL

The Watchman is singing on his watch. How outrageous! Is he letting down his guard? Is he failing as a watchman? Just how will he be able to see the danger that is looming in the horizon if he is picking on a stringed instrument? Wouldn’t it be far better for the watchman to play on the harp after he retires from his watch?

Many thanks for this podcast - there were many useful aspects for me. And I was very touched about the field ministry experience of you. Keep on doing these podcasts !

    The music already sounds nice!

"Is there anyone in good spirits? Let him sing PSALMS." (James 5:13)

Keep practicing and keep it up! :-)

The music does sound nice, but this is no time to pick up the harmonica and the Watchman knows it. However, right now as it is there is an indistinct sound from our repertoire. But this will change after the tribulation for everyone in Christ. Then we will add our voices to the heavenly choir, singing “Salvation [we owe] to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

Regarding music, and the Psalms, brings to mind the situation of David in the time of King Saul's
being overtaken by an opposing spirit, & losing God's of course (other way round).

David was renown for his musical accomplishments, had a lotta time out there in the fields & pastures, with his long nights shepherding the flocks of his father, Jesse.. and was called into
live in the royal.Palace much to his later chagrin, & Sauls wrath....apparently his musical instruments
weren't soothing to Sauls spirits (so many of them took possession) and eventually because of
Davids reputation of a loyal warrior (for the King) the peoples didn't just luuuurvvve his prowess on
his musical instruments they began to gather on Davids side, because they knew he was anointed
by the prophet, Samuel , ...to become King of Israel.

Moral of the story, its not just about the MUSIC, but the happiness and eventual glory that comes
from singing praises to the true GOD, YHWH or is it "EL- SHADDAH"..?

    April 2, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterElena maree

Is it "El-ShaddAI" what you mean to say El ena, yes there is some interesting debates about the "EL"
    names of the true God.
Quote " but this will change (indistinct sound) after the Tribulation for everyone in Christ etc is this
time period when the Image os the wild beast is set up req. obedience to Satan, mark of the beast.
the sheep have already been separated from the goats, so are you saying there's a "walk in the park" ahead for mankind or just faithful christians who are still living ....? after escaping the guillotine
and the NWO masters/authority...have you got your cave booked ?? lol
