    Watchtower lawyers at it again

"Three ministers or elders of the Tinian congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses are asking the Superior Court to quash the government's subpoena that commands them to appear at a jury trial of a man accused of sexually abusing a girl. Bob Morie, Emyl Lumba, and Dwight Manglona stated in their motion that the subpoena would be burdensome and oppressive since it requires the disclosure of privileged and protected information. Morie, Lumba, and Manglona asserted that the subpoena would require them to testify and reveal privileged confessions, admissions, information, and or confidential communications that are privileged under the Federal Rules of Evidence."

COMMENTARY: This is why Jehovah is going to gut the Watchtower Society like a catfish. What is numero uno requirement for elders? Jehovah is pretty clear about it. Look after orphans and widows and remain without spot from the world.

So, here is a child that gets molested or seduced in a congregation. A man who is part of the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses is brought to stand trial before the civil authorities for the crimes he has committed against an innocent child in the congregation, whom Jehovah has charged the elders to watch over and protect. In the 13th chapter of Roman Paul explained that Christians are to cooperate with the civil authorities who are God's ministers to punish the wicked. But instead of allowing the elders to do that, the Watchtower's lawyers file a motion, which the pedophile's lawyer agrees with, to prevent the court from calling the elders to help prosecute the criminal.

Any JW's who defend this wicked policy out of mind-numbed, stupid organizational loyalty are going to get a good thrashing too when the whip comes down.

    UPDATE

"A Superior Court jury came back yesterday with a not-guilty verdict on a 27-year-old man accused of sexually abusing a girl in 2004. This developed as the prosecution decided yesterday not to call to the witness stand three ministers or elders of the Tinian congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in the trial of Geoffrey K. Cabrera.

After deliberating for almost four hours, the Tinian Superior Court jurors reached a verdict that found Cabrera not guilty of sexual abuse in the second degree.

Associate Judge David A. Wiseman presided over the trial. Joseph N. Camacho, court-appointed counsel for Cabrera, told Saipan Tribune last night that they are thankful to the jurors for their time and their deliberations.

“We extend our appreciation to the hard working staff of the Tinian courthouse and to the judiciary,” Camacho said.

Jehovah's Witnesses Tinian congregation ministers Bob Morie, Emyl Lumba, and Dwight Manglona earlier asked the Superior Court to quash the subpoena that commands them to appear at the jury trial, saying this would be burdensome and oppressive since it requires the disclosure of privileged and protected information.

The alleged victim and defendant are members of Jehovah's Witnesses. Cabrera was accused of sexually abusing a then 14-year-old girl in May 2004 on Tinian."

    ADDITIONAL COMMENTARY:

The Watchtower's legal team has assisted in allowing yet another accused sexual criminal to go unpunished by Jehovah's civil ministers. Their desire to avoid the "burdensome and oppresive" act of having to speak the truth in a court of law is placed above acting in behalf of Jehovah's abused sheep and protecting children in the commuity at large. May Jehovah and Christ Jesus listen from the heavens and reward them according to their deeds!

    Workable, safe blood substitutes

"But real blood has many inconveniences. It requires refrigeration, which means ambulances can't stock it and medics can't administer it on the battlefield. It goes bad after 42 days. Donor blood must be compatible with the patient's blood type. And some people refuse transfusions — Jehovah's Witnesses, for instance, believe the Bible forbids them."

Obama not the first pres to...

Dwight EisenhowerPresident Barak Obama is not the first president to have his relgious faith called into question. Eishenhower's upbringing associated with the International Bible Students (later Jehovah's Witnesses) was considered a huge political liability given their anit-war, non-patriotic stance. Eisenhower family - 1902Although some reliable sources claim that Ike was very involved in the faith (Mrs. Ida Eishenhower was an anointed Christian. The family had regular congregation meetings in their Witchta, Kansas, home and frequently entertained traveling representatives of the Watchtower Society) he later disavowed any connection to the Watchtower, claiming to have been baptiszed into some sect called the River Bretheren.

Arrests of Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia

Vladimir Putin & Orthodox Patriarch Alexei II"A criminal extremism case against Maksim Kalinin, a Jehovah's Witness elder in the Volga republic of Mari El, rests on FSB security police surveillance "using a hidden camera in his home without his knowledge", Forum 18 News Service has learnt. "This means that at the current moment all 160,000 Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia cannot feel secure even in their own homes," Jehovah's Witness spokesperson Grigory Martynov remarked to Forum 18 on 20 August.

Kalinin's is one of the first three criminal cases to be opened against individual Jehovah's Witnesses in connection with alleged extremist activity. If convicted under Criminal Code Article 282.2 ("organisation of activity by an extremist organisation"), he could face up to three years in prison."

    Less blood is better...

JW's put in a good word for serial killer

Yorkshire Ripper - Peter SutcliffeApparently Jehovah's Witnesses started a Bible Study with the Yorkshire Ripper while he has been in prison doing time for brutally murdering 13 women and assaulting and nearly killing several others. Not having the death penalty in England they feed and house these guys and try to rehabilitate them. (Sort of like trying to rehap a rattlesnake) But why Jehovah's Witnesses would want their name (and by extention the name of God) associated with a notorious serial-killer is beyond me. And not just loosely associated. The Yorkshire Ripper is trying to get out of prison on appeal and Jehovah's Witnesses have put in a good word for him. Makes you shake your head in bewilderment. If this guy get out and goes on another killing spree, which is usually what they do, ought Jehovah hold the leadership of the Watchtower responsible for not renouncing whoever it was that foolishly put in a good word for this guy?

    Prince, on Jehovah's Witnesses

One of the world’s raunchiest rock stars, Prince, is in his stacked heels and flamboyant suit strutting from house to house around an ordinary suburban estate.

One of the elders there says: “We have watched Prince since he started studying the Bible and noticed a dramatic change. We go on Bible studies together and work in field service, the door-to-door ministry that Jehovah’s Witnesses are known for."

Sex offender wants to go to kingdom hall

    Jonathan Perfetto

A child pornography convict is suing the state of New Hamshire for the right to attend meetings of Jehovah's Witnesses with a chaperon. Ironically, while the state has forbidden Perfetto from being anywhere near children under the age of 16, the Watchtower has a history of covering over the crimes of pedophiles, and even allows them to represent the Watchtower Society in their local communities by canvasing going door-to-door - as long as they are chaperoned! No joke. The state actually is more responsible than the Watchtower on this issue.
