    Russian Branch Overseer Guilty of Extremism

    A regional court in Russia’s Altai region found the local head of the Jehovah's Witnesses guilty of extremism on Thursday and sentenced him to 100 hours of community service.

    The Jehovah's Witnesses is an international religious organization. Many representatives of more traditional religions consider it to be a totalitarian pseudo-Christian sect.

    Regardless of much progress in many areas, humanity is still in its infancy. This is a huge problem. God's Kingdom is the only remedy for all our ills. Everything we build rests on faulty foundations. The surest foundation is the one laid by Christ some two thousand years ago. Instead of building on this foundation, we are building on faulty ones. That means at some point in the future, in order for humanity to survive, we are going to have to recognize Christ as our only legitimate Lord and King. To many people this a threat. To others it is a blessing.
