In 1908 Charles Taze Russell and associates relocated the headquarters of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society to Brooklyn, New York, from Allegheny, Pennsylvania. The reason behind the move was to give the Society greater visibility. At the time, Russell’s sermons were appearing in ever-increasing numbers of newspapers all over the country. It was once said that Russell had a bigger readership than all of the clergy, combined. So, the move to Brooklyn, the so-called City of Churches then, was undertaken to give the source of the message a more prestigious profile. It seemed like a wise decision. Ever since then the Watchtower’s facilities have been recognizable landmarks to the millions of people living and working in Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan, as well as the constant flow of travelers on ferries and those crossing the Brooklyn Bridge. 

For years one sign on a Watchtower building reminded New Yorkers and visitors that Jehovah is God. More recent signage on a facility exhorts: Read God’s Word the Bible Daily and Announcing Jehovah’s Kingdom. 

Now, after being a fixture in Brooklyn for more than a century, the Watchtower is pulling out – moving its headquarters to Warwick, New York. The project, though, will evidently take several years to complete. But the Watchtower has already relocated an educational facility away from Brooklyn, in Patterson, New York. So, apparently this move has been planned for quite some time. Perhaps the terror attack on the World Trade Center towers across the East River spooked them. 

Whatever the reason, be it financial considerations or security, having a core of seasoned ministers and a visible monument to the name of Jehovah in one of the most populous and important cities in the world no longer seems to be important to the Watchtower Society’s board of directors. 

To those who do not attach any special importance to God’s distinctive name, the work of Jehovah’s Witnesses may not seem very relevant to their personal lives, but it has always been God’s purpose to have his name declared throughout the world by his witnesses, as a prelude to the nations being forced to know that “I am Jehovah” – as the prophecy of Ezekiel forewarns in numerous passages.

Above all else, publicizing the name of God has been the Watchtower’s primary mission since it was established – especially since the International Bible Students adopted the peculiar and provocative name of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1931. To date the Watchtower Bible Society is currently publishing the name of Jehovah, in all its many linguistic variations, in nearly 400 languages. 

But the question posed here is this: Will the Watchtower complete its planned pullout of the New York City area? Based upon my unique understanding of prophecy, the answer is no. 

In the work Jehovah Himself Has Become King the case has been presented that “Egypt” of prophecy foreshadows the United States of America (See chapter Downfall of America).  That “Egypt” has a prophetic value unrelated to the ancient or modern nation of Egypt is evidenced by the fact that in the 11^th chapter of Revelation “Egypt” is used in a “spiritual sense,” as the place where Jesus had been impaled. Also, in the concluding episode of the long-running conflict between the king of the north and south “Egypt” is subjugated by the king of the north during “the time of the end.” 

From God’s standpoint there has been an imperial, political system continuously in existence dating   from the time Egypt first became a great nation. According to Revelation the world has been dominated, and especially God’s people, by a monstrous wild beast with seven heads, each head representing a consecutively ruling empire. Since Egypt was the first ruling head according to Bible history, and it was also the first identifiable entity in the position of the King of the South in the prophecy of Daniel, Egypt is a fitting symbol for whatever power is ruling. According to the prophecies of Ezekiel and Isaiah it is especially fitting for the American world power. 

In the 19^th chapter of Isaiah Egypt is similarly portrayed as coming under the domination of a hard master. Originally Egypt was dominated by Assyria. Oddly, though, Jehovah blesses the Egyptians and in the 25^th verse he refers to them as “my people.” The prophecy also relates that the Egyptians will render sacrifices to Jehovah. Isaiah 19:21-22 states: “And Jehovah will certainly become known to the Egyptians; and the Egyptians must know Jehovah in that day, and they must render sacrifice and gift and must make a vow to Jehovah and pay it. And Jehovah will certainly deal Egypt a blow. There will be a dealing of a blow and a healing; and they must return to Jehovah, and he must let himself be entreated by them and must heal them.” 

Another indication that the prophecy does not merely apply to the ancient land of the Nile is what is stated at Isaiah 19:19-20: “In that day there will prove to be an altar to Jehovah in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to Jehovah beside its boundary. And it must prove to be for a sign and for a witness to Jehovah of armies in the land of Egypt; for they will cry out to Jehovah because of the oppressors, and he will send them a savior, even a grand one, who will actually deliver them.”

Apparently there were Jewish settlements in Egypt at the time the ascending second world power, Assyria, subjugated Egypt. Still, God did not send a grand savior to rescue the Jews from oppression. The language of prophecy indicates that the grand one, the savior who would deliver God’s people, is none other than Jesus Christ. Truly, all prophecy, in one way or another, illuminates the mission of Christ.

 From the time that Abraham first entered the land of Canaan he built several crude stone altars to the name of Jehovah. His son Isaac and his grandson, Jacob, also built altars dedicated to Jehovah. Moses also built an altar to commemorate the defeat of Amalek – calling it Jehovah-Nissi.  

Jehovah’s Witnesses today worship and serve the same God as Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, as well as Moses.  In that respect it is as if the Watchtower Society, including its publicly visible infrastructure devoted to the worship of Jehovah, stand as a monument and altar to the name of Jehovah – as the scripture states: “it must prove to be for a sign and for a witness to Jehovah of armies in the land of Egypt” 

 In what sense are the Egyptians God’s people? The concluding verses of the 19^th chapter state: “In that day there will come to be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and Assyria will actually come into Egypt, and Egypt into Assyria; and they will certainly render service, Egypt with Assyria. In that day Israel will come to be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, namely, a blessing in the midst of the earth, because Jehovah of armies will have blessed it, saying: ‘Blessed be my people, Egypt, and the work of my hands, Assyria, and my inheritance, Israel.’”

Although the nations are under the authority of Satan the Devil, ultimately God’s purpose is served by them. How is Assyria the work of God’s hands, as the scripture says? Assyria serves the same purpose as Babylon did, which Jehovah described as his forge hammer for smashing the nations. The Assyrian Empire typifies the last king – the eighth king. The last Kingdom springs from the seven previous world powers, particularly the Anglo-American dual world power. Jehovah will use the last king to dispose of the iniquitous harlot of Babylon. In that respect Assyria will render service to God and will prove to be a blessing to all of God’s people by destroying the false religious system known as Babylon the great. Keep in mind that the historical Assyria boasted to king Hezekiah that none of the gods of the nations were able to save their devotees from being subjugated. 

Just as during the Exodus a vast mixed company of Egyptians and others threw in their lot with God’s people, the Israelites. Although not descendents of Abraham, the Egyptians and others making up the vast mixed company that came out of Egypt became God’s people. 

Jehovah’s Witnesses have been derogatorily described as an American religion. This is not true. However, obviously, Jehovah’s Witnesses got their start in America.  America, after all, was originally settled by pilgrims and Puritans fleeing religious persecution. As an outgrowth of that experience, tolerance and religious freedom were principles that were written in to the Constitution of the United States.  So, the much hated and often persecuted witnesses of Jehovah have until now flourished in America. 

America has been described as a melting pot. The people of America – excepting the aboriginal tribes – are not a race unto themselves. Although of predominantly European extraction, Americans are a blend of many ethnic and racial groups. In relation to the anointed Israel of God the modern-day “Egyptians” resemble the vast mixed company during the Exodus. 

But as regards the topic at hand (the Watchtower’s intended exodus from Brooklyn), consider, now, Isaiah 19:18: “In that day there will prove to be five cities in the land of Egypt speaking the language of Canaan and swearing to Jehovah of armies. The City of Tearing Down will one city be called.”

Since the time the Israelites conquered the land of Canaan the language of the land of Canaan became Hebrew. The third chapter of the prophecy of Zephaniah foretells that during the period of judgment God will give his spiritual nation a change to a pure language – the pure language being the language of uncontaminated truth.

But what may be symbolized by the City of Tearing Down? Since America broke away from the Crown of England it has been the intent of the British Empire to reacquire control of the United States through subversion and ultimately tear down the entire nation-state system and revert to a corporate-controlled, feudalistic system. The trend in recent decades has been to weaken national sovereignties through the mechanism of globalism with the ultimate intent of creating a world government.

The United Nations stands as a Trojan horse, ready to come to power in the last hour. So, the City of Tearing Down is New York City. Not only is it home of the United Nations Organization, but Manhattan is also home to Wall Street, and it is no secret that the big investment banks and related hedge funds are also busily tearing down the nation, bankrupting it, by offloading trillions of dollars of fictitious debt onto the taxpayer. When the inevitable crash occurs it will spell the end of America and the religious and civil liberties the citizenry have come to take for granted. 

Since the City of Tearing Down is also where those are found "swearing to Jehovah of armies” during the time that Egypt is delivered up to a hard master, it would seem that the present system is destined to be torn down before the Watchtower can remove the landmark altar to Jehovah from the Brooklyn borough of New York City. 

Barely a month into the new year "sovereign debt default" has become the new phrase that is being bandied about. We were first introduced to the concept a few months ago in connection with Dubai. Now the specter of sovereign debt default looms over the nations of Europe; specifically, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Ireland. 

The default of just one nation can set off another round of panic in the financial markets.  (Remember AIG and their credit default swaps?) Because all those nations use the same currency the fear is that the Euro could collapse and with it the entire European Union. There are fears of a 'Lehman-style Tsunami.' And, of course, there are enormous social and political ramifications now that the struggling nations are being ordered by the bankers in Brussels to impose vicious austerity upon their citizens. 

With the new wave of panic sweeping through the financial markets this week, amazingly, the US dollar is considered the best “safe haven,” increasing in value relative to other currencies – particularly the euro. This is extraordinary given the fact that the United States bears an enormous and unpayable debt. The bankruptcy of the United States would be the mother of all sovereign debt defaults. In reality, the entire London/WallStreet, global financial system is bankrupt. 

The collapse of the financial system would not be the end of the world. In fact, it could be a very positive thing. It might put to death the parasitical system that has for decades been sucking the lifeblood from the nations. If the leading nations were to act in concert and set up a new credit arrangement the world could be given a fresh start and the bankers could perhaps find productive work elsewhere. But the mafia- like financial oligarchy is determined to prevent that from happening. Apparently it is their intention to orchestrate a global conflagration – World War III, in order to prevent the nations from entering into a mutual cooperation against the machinations of private financial interests. 

Since the collapse of the Soviet Union the United States military has been co-opted by imperialists to pick up where the British Empire had left off as regards the grand chess game of geopolitics. During the Cold War MI6 and the CIA organized, funded and trained the Muhajahdeen in order to oppose Russia. Now those same terrorist assets, which have been enlarged as the Taliban and Al-Qaeda, are being deployed to destabilize South Asia, such as Pakistan, which is being pushed into civil war by being forced to wage war on it own people. 

Using its “war on terror” as a pretext, the United States has acquired or built military bases all over the world. Presently the U.S. maintains nearly 900 bases in 47 countries and trains 100,000 soldiers from other lands every year. The strategic goal of the Anglo-American superpower is the encirclement and ultimate destruction of Russia and China. With the recent deployment of SM-3 missile defense, which is capable of bringing down low-orbit satellites, it appears that the final pieces are in place. 

Although the saber rattling against Iran has being going on for many years, recent reports indicate that Israel and the U.S. are preparing for war in the coming months. Indicative of that fact, Israel has announced its intentions to issue gas masks for all of its citizens. Officials in Egypt have reported that the U.S. and Israeli military have been engaged in charting the coastal, air and overland routes in preparation for an attack on Iran. There has also been a rapid build up of anti-missile systems in the Persian Gulf region. It is inconceivable that Iran would launch an unprovoked offensive. Military planners are installing missile shields to limit a retaliatory response. It is generally understood that an attack on Iran would trigger World War Three. 

The fuse is lit and burning to the quick. The Empire must strike before the economic system collapses under it feet. In view of the world’s precarious situation the prophet’s advice seems most timely: ‘Get ready to meet your God.’

The book Jehovah Himself Has Become King offers a unique prophetic interpretation related to current affairs. 

“Let them eat cake,” is the response attributed to Queen Marie Antoinette when informed that her subjects had no bread to eat.  To better appreciate the meaning of that remark, in French the word translated as “cake” is brioche, which is highly enriched bread made with egg and butter. The point of the Queen’s retort is that she was oblivious to the plight of the famine-ravaged peasantry. If they had no bread, they surely would not have any brioche to eat. 

As it turned out it did not end well for the royal family, or for France for that matter, as the entire nation was plunged into revolution and afterwards subjected to the ruin brought on by Napoleon. 

In all likelihood, though, the ill-fated Queen never actually said: “Let them eat cake.” The storming of the Bastille, which was supposedly provoked by Marie Antoinette’s calloused retort, was actually an operation carried out on orders from London by means of French provocateurs, for the purpose of preventing patriots from replicating the American Revolution throughout Europe. History has a way of repeating itself. The reason that is the case is because the system in place never reallyStorming of the Bastille  changes – only the names, faces, and places. Tyrants come and tyrants go.  At times the people rise up and the tyrants are overthrown, only to be replaced by other tyrants. And so it goes. There will never be a true freedom until the heavenly tyrant, Satan the Devil, is overthrown by the Kingdom of Christ Jesus. From all appearances the overthrow of the demonic tyrants who have ruled the world for the past six millennia is imminent.

While the influence of the wicked spirits in heavenly places is all-pervasive throughout the world, being like the very air itself, which is inhaled by the sons of disobedience, as the enlightened apostle worded it, Satan’s imperial power is now primarily projected through the Anglo-American Empire. 

But the Anglo-dominated system is now perched on the edge of a foreboding abyss.  Its now-imminent collapse will trigger a social explosion and upheaval.  And apparently that is the intent of the dark forces that rule this world. 

Take a brief look at the present situation: take China for starters – A nation of over one billion people with millions desperately impoverished, who are controlled by a tiny clique of elites and exploited by multi-nationals and a growing number of Chinese billionaires. Surely the lessons of the French and Russian revolutions are not lost upon the Communist leadership. 

But the same situation is developing in the so-called developed world. Look at the situation in Great Britain and America itself. Britons are being told they will have to suffer massive budget cuts to pay off the banker’s bad gambling debts. Case in point: Some 30 UK universities may be forced to close as a result, including, potentially, the venerated institutions of Oxford and Cambridge. But in America the situation is even worse. To date $24 trillion (YouTube) have been handed over to the bankers while 10’s of millions of Americans are losing their jobs; millions have already lost their homes, and worse, many are losing hope. 

The question is, how long will it be before the hopeless and the famished rise up to overthrow the tyrants who have robbed and crushed them? 

Adding to the volatility of the present situation, since the election of Barack Obama millions of Americans are being polarized along racial lines. There has been a resurgence of hate crimes. It has been reported that growing numbers of Americans are taking up arms and joining paramilitary groups and right-wing militias, and of course, like their Jacobin forerunners, right-wing reactionaries are fanning the flames. Under circumstances of martial law a violent civil war is not out of the question. 

What does any of this have to do with Bible prophecy? Long ago Jehovah spoke through the prophets, foretelling that this present civilization will come unwound at the coming of Christ. 

Consider that elsewhere the case has been made that Egypt of prophecy has a modern parallel in the United States. (See The Downfall of America – Jehovah Himself Has Become King) According to the prophecy Jehovah is going to set the Egyptians against one another. Isaiah 19:2-4 states: ‘“And I will goad Egyptians against Egyptians, and they will certainly war each one against his brother, and each one against his companion, city against city, kingdom against kingdom. And the spirit of Egypt must become bewildered in the midst of it, and I shall confuse its own counsel. And they will be certain to resort to the valueless gods and to the charmers and to the spirit mediums and to the professional foretellers of events. And I will deliver up Egypt into the hand of a hard master, and strong will be the king that will rule over them,’ is the utterance of the true Lord, Jehovah of armies.” 

Also, consider the prophecy of Zachariah 11:6, which foretells: “‘For I shall show compassion no more upon the inhabitants of the land,’ is the utterance of Jehovah. ‘So here I am causing mankind to find themselves, each one in the hand of his companion and in the hand of his king; and they will certainly crush to pieces the land, and I shall do no delivering out of their hand.’” 

Please understand this, although the prophecies state that Jehovah will cause the calamity to befall the nations, that does not mean Jehovah directly causes it. He merely allows it. He sets it into motion by giving Christ authority over the nations. In reality, the demons are responsible for scuttling the system they govern. They are forced to out of desperation, knowing they have a short period of time to continue their reign of tyranny. “The hard master,” into whose hands the “Egyptians” are destined to fall and the king who is destined to “crush to pieces the land,” both are in reference to the eighth king, the last kingdom that is destined to arise from the abyss following the collapse of the present system and rule for "one hour" before going off into destruction. 

How will this affect Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Watchtower Society? The brotherhood is destined to be shattered by the last king. Just as Christ’s apostles and first century disciples were stumbled and scattered when their shepherd was struck down by religious enemies who conspired with representatives of imperial Rome, the very same prophecies have destined the congregation of Christ to be severely wounded in the day of break down and turmoil. (Isaiah 30:26) 

Jesus himself foretold that many will be stumbled because of the increasing of lawlessness and that many will hate one another and betray one another, and children will rise up against their parents to have them put to death, and parents will have their own children put to death. 

At this late hour millions of Jehovah’s Witnesses have already been stumbled, including people once associated with Jehovah’s Witnesses such as family or relatives of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and there are those many millions who have partaken of a Bible study with Jehovah’s Witnesses but who did not commit to become Jehovah’s Witnesses, who are now increasingly, often rabidly, hostile to the Watchtower organization. Those legions of stumbled individuals, united through dozens of Internet discussion boards and so-called "recovery" groups, are now unwittingly primed to do an evil work during the hour of darkness soon to engulf this wicked world. 

Although the Watchtower Society has soaped Jehovah’s Witnesses with the naïve notion that the faithful will march from glory to glory, under the desperate circumstances of the now-oncoming social upheaval and martial law, it does not take a great deal of imagination to envision the virtual army of Watchtower-haters allying themselves with authorities in order to assist them to track down and turn in those whom they know are members of the 'family-destroying,' 'subversive cult' – Jehovah’s Witnesses. 

Did not Jesus say that the Devil will keep on throwing some of you into prison in order that you may be completely tested? Keep in mind, there has not been one of Jehovah’s Witnesses go to prison in America for their faith since the Vietnam War.  And yet the United States is where the highest concentration of Jehovah’s Witnesses presently exist, not to mention the leadership of the Watchtower Society itself. Think about it. 

For the past few years rumors have circulated of the existence of hundreds of unoccupied FEMA detention camps throughout the United States. It was reported in 2005 in the financial press that Halliburton subsidiary, KBR, had won a multimillion dollar contract to build numerous detention camps around the United States, ostensibly for the purpose of detaining illegal aliens. 

Since the original story broke the patriotic underground has investigated these matters and verified that there are indeed concentration camps in America. Apparently the axiom is: build it and they will come. Also there have been reports circulating of the existence of thousands of plastic coffins and prebuilt prison cell modules that will allow prisons to be hastily built with Lego block-like, snap-together cells. If anyone doubts the existence of such things, they do well to keep in mind that it has already is an accepted fact that the US runs dozens of secret prisons around the world, where those deemed to be enemies of the state are illegally incarcerated. 

Jehovah’s appointed day of tyranny is nigh! 

“And in the time of the end the king of the south will engage with him in a pushing, and against him the king of the north will storm with chariots and with horsemen and with many ships; and he will certainly enter into the lands and flood over and pass through.” 

 For longtime readers of e-watchman you know the King of the North is a topic I have frequently visited. In light of recent world developments it seems timely to make a return visit.  

 It has now been almost a century since 1914. And according to the Watchtower Society that is when the King of the North and the King of the South engaged in a “pushing.” The King of the North at that time is thought to have been Germany and the King of the South was the Anglo-American duo. After the defeat of Germany by the Allies in 1945 the USSR is believed to have become the King of the North and the foretold flooding over into the lands is thought to have been fulfilled by communist expansion throughout Eastern Europe. But for the past 20 years the USSR has not existed and all the lands that had supposedly been flooded over have become independent and come out from under Russian domination.  

The collapse of that entity previously identified as the King of the North has been a great humiliation for the Watchtower Society. For the most part the Society says very little in regards to this aspect of prophecy now.  In Bethel’s last commentary on the book of Daniel (1999) they were forced to admit they do not know who the King of the North is now and they have advised Jehovah’s Witnesses not to speculate on the matter, even though the Watchtower’s commentary itself is mere speculation. 

So here we are “deep into the time of the end,” as Jehovah’s Witnesses are fond of saying, when the prophecy of Daniel is supposed to be unsealed for the holy ones, and yet by their own admission the spokesmen for Jehovah’s Witnesses have no idea who the King of the North is at this present time.  But if the book of Daniel has been unsealed already, why the cluelessness on the part of those who claim to have been given insight? And if the prophecy has not been unsealed yet (as is apparent) that means the time of the end is not begun. 

There are other aspects of the Watchtower’s interpretation that do not line up with reality (such as the absurd notion that the United States, symbolized as Egypt in the prophecy, did not escape from the Soviet Union during the Cold War.)

Also, the prophecy states that the King of the North will be successful all the way until the end of the denunciation, and yet each political entity that the Watchtower has identified with the King of the North has failed, spectacularly; and as stated already, now the Watchtower does not even have a pony in the show.  It is probably best. 

 The primary reason the watchtower has no insight in these matters is that they are laboring under the same cloud of deception as the world in general. The reason they have failed so miserably in presenting a workable interpretation of prophecy is because they have based their interpretations on a faulty understanding of recent history.   No doubt the leadership of the Watchtower have succumbed to the popular myth that the British Empire no longer exists or that it is irrelevant.  And for that reason they are unable to put together the prophetic pieces of the puzzle.  

In reality the British Empire is very much alive. Its power is expressed through the IMF/floating exchange rate monetary and financial system headquartered in London. The British Empire is the King of the North, and as such, London has successfully dominated the world for the past two centuries.  The primary way in which the British Empire has dominated the nations is by preventing them from developing; by inducing developing nations into indebtedness and forcing them to devalue their currencies while the original debts incurred are required to be paid back at the original exchange rates; by forcing upon them nation-strangling IMF conditionalites; by pitting nations, religions and ethnic groups against one another so that they destroy themselves in war and civil war; by recruiting and training terrorists and deploying them throughout the world to create destabilization, in what has been called a “strategy of tension”; by corrupting and subverting nations politically so that they are ineffective in promoting their own national interests. This brings us to the “pushing” in the time of the end. 

  As most people are aware, the global financial system collapsed in 2008. The system has been kept propped up by massive injections of taxpayer money into the banking system and other backroom chicanery. It is a temporary fix however. In the meanwhile some of the most populous and resource-rich nations in the world are making moves to align themselves in mutual cooperation. This development has enormous strategic implications. A massive power shift is in play and it has the potential to break London’s stranglehold over the planet.  It appears as if the final pushing has already or will soon begin.

Since their failure at Copenhagen to impose upon the nations the UN-directed global dictatorship, London is particularly bent on preventing the United States from joining what is being called the four powers agreement. As the iron and clay of prophecy, the Anglo-American duo is an uneasy alliance of imperialism and republicanism. Although America has been subverted into taking over as the enforcer of Anglo-imperialism the republican impulse is still strong. If the United States is allowed to join the developing new alliance of nations it would be a historic game changer. Time is running out for the Empire. At this point it seems the only way that the alliance may be thwarted is by detonating World War III.

2010 is shaping up to be a tipping point for the nations. The past year and a half was characterized by the collapse of residential real estate prices and the securities market that was based upon mortgages. 2010 will continue that trend. Millions more are certain to lose their homes n the coming year. However, the next shoe to drop is the commercial real estate market. A collapse of the commercial real estate market could potentially sink the entire U.S. banking system. 

It is not just real estate though. 2010 is certain to be characterized by the next phase debt blowout – sovereign default. Sovereign default is when nations go bust and can no longer service their debt obligations. Dubai, Greece and Spain are on the brink of default. Although not a nation, the state of California, which is the 8^th largest economy in the world, stands at the brink of bankruptcy and default. It must be understood that in a global economy no nation is an island. The default of merely one seemingly insignificant nation can set off a wave of bank failures and topple the whole system, as nearly occurred in October of 2008 with the collapse of Lehman Brothers. 

But it is not just the lesser nations that are facing bankruptcy. The Daily Mail rightly poses the question: Is Britain on the Brink of Financial Armageddon? Of course, the world’s biggest debtor is the United States. And its debt is widely recognized to be unpayable. Although many are confident in the permanence of the Dollar as the world's reserve currency, others who are experts in the field of international finance are convinced that the collapse of the Dollar is inevitable and imminent.  

As home, state and national budgets collapse and more and more people become destitute and are left to fend for themselves, the new year may well be marked by social upheaval and an unraveling of society. 2010 may well see food shortages develop in America. And a second wave of the H1N1 virus or a new strain is possible. Most disconcerting, though, is the relentless march toward war. Faced with the imminent collapse of the London/Wall Street system, and the recent spectacular failure of the UN's Copenhagen Climate Summit to achieve London's intended goal of legally binding nations into reducing their industrial capacity, particularly China's, and with a renaissance of nuclear powered development, space exploration and cooperation emerging between the nations of Asia and Russia, London will be forced to launch World War Three, or else accept becoming irrelevant on the world stage. An attack on Iran by America or Israel would likely trigger a global conflict involving nuclear weapons.

With no hint of exaggeration, 2010 appears to be the year of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. It is no longer a matter of speculation or a conspiracy theory. The fall of Anglo-American system is a reality. In the aftermath of that fall will arise the prophesied 8th king, in the form of the United Nations.

Europe: The gathering storm

You have read the headlines and watched dire reports on the flat screen: The icecaps are melting at an alarming rate! Polar bears are languishing on shrinking sheets of floating ice! Sea levels are rising! In a few years costal cities will be inundated! Unchecked global warming is presented as the greatest threat to the very continued existence of humanity! 

Without doubt, the debate about climate change has been ongoing for many years. The question, though, is not whether weather patterns are changing, but if the change is primarily caused by industrialization and just what ought to be done – if anything.  

Jehovah's Witnesses may be especially inclined to believe that global warming is man-made since it seems to fit with what Revelation 11:18 states regarding man ruining the earth. Also, the Watchtower Society has written numerous articles on the subject, lending their credibility to the global warming issue. 

First though, just as evolution is not an established scientific fact – only an unproven, albeit, popular theory – it has not been conclusively proven that industrial activity causes global warming. After all, just as the local weather changes on a seasonal basis, the long term climate of planet Earth also goes through warming and cooling trends due to non-human related phenomena such as volcanoes, the increase and decrease of solar activity and the regular cycle of earth wobble.  

But in 2006 former U.S. Vice President, Al Gore, appeared in a widely viewed documentary called An Inconvenient Truth, in which he persuasively made the case that human activity is directly responsible for producing excessive greenhouse gases and thereby dramatically raising earth’s temperature.  

But long before Al Gore brought the issue of global warming into mainstream consciousness, leaders of the industrialized nations entered into a treaty in 1997 called the Kyoto Protocol, named for Kyoto Japan, which went into force in February 2005 – intended to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases.  More recently, at the just concluded Copenhagen Climate Summit, the American president, Barak Obama, raised his voice to announce that global warming was real and that time is running short and the developing nations must agree to limit their industrial activity. (Obama’s speech on You Tube)  (Ironically, Copenhagen was blanketed in snow during the global warming conference. And President Obama will be returning to the nation’s capitol under a blizzard snow emergency. ) 

Coinciding with the Copenhagen pow-wow, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a decree listing CO2 as a health threat. Yes, that’s right, at this very moment you are exhaling a very nasty, unhealthy gas into the atmosphere! Human existence has been declared to be a threat to the environment. However, there are many scientists that, not surprisingly, receive less press than the global warming advocates, who believe the earth is now in a cooling cycle; and still others believe that global warming is a massive hoax. Recent bombshell revelations of hacked e-mails and assorted documents from East Anglia University researchers have even called into question the truthfulness of the data presented making the case for global warming. (Alex Jones on YouTube) Some lawmakers in the United States have even called for a criminal investigation into what has been called “Climategate.” One of the primary researchers employed by the United Nations who was at the center of the e-mail controversy has even admitted to deleting information from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report that called into question the claims of warmists.  

The question posed here is: Is global warming really part of a grand conspiracy? The answer is an unequivocal “yes.” Even if earth’s climate is in a long-term warming trend and even if modern civilization is responsible, and even if the polar icecaps are melting, there is no question that global warming is being used as the pretext for implementing world government and ultimately global genocide.  That is evident in light of the phony remedies for global warming that are being pushed and the real solutions that are being suppressed. (Anyone interested in the truth of the matter, I highly recommend watching this compelling and highly entertaining 1 ½-hour YouTube presentation by Lord Monckton, as he thoroughly debunks Al Gore’s Inconvenient Truth and exposes the financier oligarchy’s genocidal intentions.)  

To illustrate the point, if burning fossil fuels is imperiling planet earth, why not eliminate fossil fuels entirely? Why not phase out coal and gas-fired power plants altogether and go nuclear? If the people pushing the save-the-planet agenda were really serious that is what they would do. But environmental groups like Greenpeace that are fanning the global warming hysteria, are also the most fanatical opponents of atomic energy. Clearly, the agenda is not saving the planet. (Interestingly, in this article the Watchtower subtly dismisses nuclear power too.)

Consider a comparison of the fuel requirements to produce 1,000 megawatts of electricity. For example, to produce 1,000 MWe in a coal-fired plant requires 9,000 tons of coal, or 40,000 barrels of oil; whereas a nuclear power plant requires a mere six pounds of uranium and produces no greenhouse gases. Think of it: Six pounds of uranium produces the same power as 18 million pounds of coal! Why are nations still burning fossils in the atomic age? 

Nuclear power could literally transform the world, not only through the now somewhat antiquated process of using radioactive fuel rods to boil water to spin an electricity-generating turbine by the steam produced, but nuclear energy could be used to distill saltwater into fresh water. (Advocated by Lyndon LaRouche) 

 If the nations were really serious about reducing CO2, why not ring the northern coast of the Mediterranean Sea with nuclear power plants, for starters, and use the desalinated water to irrigate the vast Sahara Desert and convert it to agriculture production? Why not turn the expanding deserts of the world into productive land with the added benefit that the billions of fresh, growing plants would absorb the “unhealthy” carbon dioxide from the atmosphere; and through the miracle of photosynthesis, produce thousands of useful products for the benefit of mankind? Turning deserts into green zones would surely have a positive impact upon the climate, possibly cooling the earth significantly.  Also, nuclear energy is by far the most efficient way to create hydrolysis and produce hydrogen to fuel automobiles and trucks. Running vehicles on hydrogen is virtually pollution free. (Hydrolysis is the process of passing an electric current through water in order to separate H2O into its component parts of hydrogen and oxygen.)   

Forget about Three Mile Island and the Chernobyl disaster. Chernobyl was antiquated then and Three Mile Island incident was overblown and used as a pretext for stopping the construction of new atomic power stations in America. Besides, third generation gas-cooled nuclear reactors are much safer. And even the problem of radioactive waste has a solution, which has been effectively suppressed so far.  

The reason that nuclear power is not being more fully utilized, indeed, the reason why there has not been one atom-powered generator built in the USA in over 30 years is simple: The financial oligarchy will not permit it. The reason nuclear power has been relentlessly suppressed is because nuclear power cannot be so easily controlled and profited from by the financial markets like the oil and gas markets are. For example, remember back a few years ago when Enron nearly bankrupted California by manipulating the supply of natural gas?  

So, instead of developing new technologies, governments have allowed themselves to be conned into reverting back to a modern version of Holland’s cutting edge technology of the 14^th century – windmills! Meanwhile “carbon credits” are the new unregulated derivatives instrument of the next decade. But carbon credits will not reduce greenhouse emissions by so much as one molecule. Carbon trading merely allows J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and the other London/Wall Street gambling houses, to profit from the polluters. Perhaps they may even devise a tax scheme or sell carbon credits and derivatives for your every CO2-laden exhalation?  

But the Watchman's Post is not a "debater of this system of things," as the apostle worded it, nor is this blog advocating any human scheme. The question is: what does any of this have to do with Bible prophecy?

A WORLD FULL OF LIES

Bob Dylan once sang: “I been down on the bottom of a world full of lies.”  

One thing for sure though, Dylan has had a lot of company down there on the bottom; but perhaps the majority have not been as keenly aware of their predicament as the poet.  Truly, though, the world is awash in lies. Worse, it seems the people of the world actually prefer it that way. The more lies the better, apparently. ‘The bigger the better’ is the unspoken motto.  

People just don’t know what to make of the truth. It is so rare that when people have a chance encounter with some fragment of truth they are frightened by it. It seems strange to them – odd and out of place.  

Take for example the pathetic case of millions of Americans in the post 9-11 world. Although the 9-11 terrorist were nearly all Saudi nationals – not one of them an Iraqi or Afghani, and although it was well known that Saddam Hussein was a secular Muslim and had no connection to the radical, Saudi, Wahhabism-spawned, Qaeda, and it was eventually also proven that Iraq had no active WMD program of any kind: No matter. As of three years ago, about half of all Americans still believed the pre-war propaganda in which they had been soaked. Frightening. 

Although by now you would think people would know better, they just can’t seem to come to grips with the fact that they are lied to at every turn by their teachers, by their religious leaders, by their political leaders, by the media.  

Even more puzzling than the masses who believe war propaganda more readily then the Gospel according to Saint John, as the third generation comes of age that has been immersed from infancy in sci-fi fantasy, a growing percentage of seemingly even “educated” adults actually believe the U.S. moon landings were faked by a Hollywood special effects crew. Yet, the very same individuals may confess a steadfast conviction in the truthfulness of tabloid reports on the comings and goings of saucer-flying extraterrestrials and alien abductions. Truly, a lot of people have had their very brains addled by the incessant torrent of misinformation and lies flooding the world.  

Some lies have been around a long time – so long that people become comfortable with them and never question them. Take the religious lies such as the devilish hoax that humans have an immortal soul that flits off to the Great Beyond after death. So prevalent is that age-old lie, it permeates virtually every religion on earth, from Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, primitive animism, “Christianity” and New Age pantheism.  

Then there is Christendom’s unholy Trinity myth. Spawned by priestly mystics in Nimrod’s infamous Babel, various groupings of triads were worshipped in Sumeria, and from there, triad worship spread far beyond the land of the Tigris and Euphrates. Long before Jesus ever set foot upon this earth, the ancient Egyptians worshipped a triad of gods in the persons on Osiris, Isis and Horus (father, mother and son, respectively). To this day the inscrutable Hindu religion features the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Siva. And since the pagan Roman Emperor, Constantine, declared apostate Christianity to be the state religion; decreeing also, that Jesus Christ was the same substance as God, the Catholic Church gradually molded God, Jesus and the holy spirit into a three-in-one trinity amalgamation, which has since become accepted as the central doctrine of nearly every “Christian” denomination and sect. Of course, the Bible does not present Jehovah and Jesus as being yoked together with the spirit in any sort of trinity. Ironically, the trinity myth has seemingly run full circle now, so that the most recent lie being peddled by numerous hucksters on the Internet is that Jesus is a myth modeled after Horus. It never ends.  

But there are more lies than merely those emanating throughout the world’s religious teachings. Other lies are channeled through the scientific and academic community. The most persistent, prevalent and perverse lie is evolution. What was originally presented as a “theory” has now become enshrined as sacred truth. In this instance the lie literally took on a life of its own, seemingly from a lowly puddle of bubbling amino soup!   

And of course, there is the steady torrent of reality bending, mind-molding untruth that issues through the media from the merchants of the world – ever intent on seducing the unwary...

But of all the lies and liars, there is a King of lies. His lies will eventually enslave and destroy the world. Prophecy describes him this way: 

“And in the final part of their kingdom, as the transgressors act to a completion, there will stand up a king fierce in countenance and understanding ambiguous sayings. And his power must become mighty, but not by his own power. And in a wonderful way he will cause ruin, and he will certainly prove successful and do effectively. And he will actually bring mighty ones to ruin, also the people made up of the holy ones. And according to his insight he will also certainly cause deception to succeed in his hand. And in his heart he will put on great airs, and during a freedom from care he will bring many to ruin. And against the Prince of princes he will stand up, but it will be without hand that he will be broken.” – Daniel 8:23-25

 Who will be this king fierce in countenance that will bring widespread ruin and “cause deception to succeed”; who will bring the mighty ones of this world to ruin along with “the people made up of the holy ones,” but who will ultimately be vanquished when Christ stands up against him? One clue is given in the verses above that describe the king becoming mighty, “but not by his own power.” How is it possible for a kingdom to become mighty but not by its own power? Obviously, there is a great power that stands behind the last king. Consider, now, the British Empire. 

One of the most pernicious lies today is that the British Empire no longer exists and that the British Crown is a mere powerless relic of a bygone era. Of course, the colonial empire has been dissolved, but with its coalition of the British Commonwealth of Nations, along with the City of London’s dominance over the global financial and monetary system, and its alliance with client nations (puppets) such as oil-rich Saudi Arabia as well as Israel, the modern British Empire is the most powerful entity on earth. Not only that, the Crown is by far the largest landowner on the planet, with holdings valued at $33 trillion in 2006.  

Various international institutions have served to further London’s imperial interests, including the World Bank, the IMF and the United Nations. 

From its inception the British Empire has had a policy of population reduction. The Irish Potato Famine, while brought on by a potato fungus, was used by the British masters of Ireland to cull the serfs who worked the land – what has since been called “passive genocide.”  One of the world’s worst holocausts was perpetrated by the British Empire against the people of India during the Victorian era, when the British masters caused the deaths of nearly 30 million people – five times the number of Jews that perished in the Nazi Holocaust, and yet few Britons are even aware of the Empires atrocities. An article in the Guardian points out that the British Empire invented the concentration camp long before the Nazis popularized death camps. (Additional Guardian article) And like its Anglo creator and controller, the United Nations is also complicit in passive genocide. 

The official policy of the British Empire and the United Nations is that the world is overpopulated. That is a lie. The world is not overpopulated. It is merely undeveloped – due in no small measure to the machinations of the Empire in destabilizing and crushing nations under a burden of debt that prevents them from developing.   

In view of the British Empire’s past atrocities and their present intentions, it should come as no surprise that global warming is being used by the globalist cabal as a weapon to hamstring the nations into limiting their industrial capacity as a means for destroying the ability of nation-states to meet the needs of their respective populations.  It is the intention of the powers-that-be to reduce the world’s population by a considerable percentage. Whether the UN-mandated impositions on greenhouse emissions comes into play remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: It is now within their power to initiate a global holocaust beyond anything ever before suffered by humanity.  

With this brief historical overview in mind, consider now the prophetic entity of the king fierce in countenance. At this moment in time the London-controlled floating-exchange rate monetary system is in a terminal phase. The system is being propped up momentarily through a flood of near-zero central bank interest rates and government guarantees of buying up all the gamblers' bad bets.

However, at some point, soon, the whole system will collapse. The entire Anglo-America kingdom will crash with breathtaking suddenness. But while the financial and political system of the nations is brought to ruin, the oligarchs will use their consolidated monopoly over the physical resources of the nations to empower the United Nations as their neo-British Empire. In this way the king fierce in countenance will become mighty, but not by his own power and he will "cause deception to succeed." The United Nations will then oversee a holocaust that will reduce the world’s population by at least one-fourth – that is according to Revelation.

Perhaps a refrain from Dylan's "a hard rain is gonna fall" is in order.

Are you ready? Ready for the disaster that is predicted to be unleashed on December 21, 2012? 

No doubt you have heard of 2012, but what is the significance of that date? There is no question about it; the attention being focused on the year 2012 is nothing short of a cultural phenomenon. But how did it all get started and what exactly is supposed to take place in 2012? Is it all Hollywood hype or is there more to it than that? (Official 2012 movie site)

The 2012 craze is based upon the so-called Long Count Mayan calendar, which cycle ends on December 21, 2012. (Wikipedia has an informative presentation on the topic.)

Supposedly that date corresponds with the alignment of the earth with the plane of the equator of our local Milky Way galaxy, as viewed from the earth. And interpretations of Babylonian cuneiform writings supposedly tell of the existence of another planet in our solar system, Nibiru, also dubbed planet X, which is due to make an appearance in the year, you guessed it - 2012. 

These cosmic events are supposed to create all kinds of havoc upon the earth, such as the shift of the magnetic poles and enormous eruptions of the sun. And thrown into the 2012 apocalypse stew are a mix of vague predictions from the soothsayer, Nostradamus, anticipated visitations from extra-terrestrials, and of course, fantastic end-times interpretations of Revelation.  And new agers believe that 2012 will magically bring in an era of enlightenment. 

While there is no doubt that moviemakers and booksellers are cashing in and helping to hype the 2012 hysteria, the true significance of the focus on that date may be found in the words of Jesus. It is true that Jesus said no one knows the day or the hour, however, Jesus did say that his return would be marked by certain events. 

Most people who consider themselves Christians are familiar with the so-called signs of the end. Specifically, Jesus said that there would be wars, pestilences, food shortages and earthquakes. (See Matthew chapter 24 and Luke chapter 21.) But the most significant feature of the sign that Jesus presented is often overlooked. And what is that? The most notable characteristic of Jesus’ prophecy has to do with the presence of false christs and false prophets. Above all the earth-shaking events Jesus foretold would accompany his presence, Christ emphasized that a great deception would be in operation. Underscoring the thoroughness of the deception Jesus stated that if it were possible even the chosen ones would be deceived and he specifically issued a warning saying: “Look! I have forewarned you.” 

Although Jesus did describe apocalyptic heavenly phenomenon, such as the sun going dark, the moon turning to blood and the stars falling from heaven, these are not to be taken literally. How can we be sure? Because the Jesus was basically borrowing phraseology from the Hebrew prophecies; many of which, such as Isaiah, Joel, and Amos, spoke of the very same phenomena occurring in connection with the destruction of Israel and later Judah and the sudden overthrow of Babylon. In each instance the destruction came at the hands of a literal human army. Jehovah simply used expressions to show the completeness of the destructive work. From the standpoint of those who experienced the conquest it would seem as if the sun, moon and stars had gone dark. People today use similar expressions. For example, the Dark Ages. 

The prophecy of Daniel refers to “the time of the end,” which is the same thing as the conclusion of the system - as the New World Translation phrases the Greek word syntelia. According to Daniel the time of the end is initiated, not by any sort of galactic alignment or a mysterious planet crashing into the earth, but by a great war. 

The victor of that future war is called the king of the north in the 11^th chapter of Daniel and the king fierce in countenance in the eighth chapter. According to the prophet Daniel the final war will accompany the coming of Christ and the victorious king will cause deception to succeed to the extent that he will throw truth to the earth and trample upon the chosen ones of God. But with the world being ruled over by the one whom Jesus called "the father of the lie," it should not come as any surprise that Satan will ultimately mislead his world into destruction.

Presently, the world is gripped by the collapse of the global financial system. It has been staved off temporarily through extraordinary, multi-trillion-dollar money printing operations by central banks, which at some point will inevitably ignite a hyperinflationary firestorm. The coming war will determine who controls the post-crash world. 

The stage is now set for the conclusion. No doubt, 2012 will be one aspect of the great deception to come. The coven of financiers, whose money system is ending, pretty much owns the media. Perhaps reminiscent of the great radio hoax of 1938, in which listeners were duped into believing that aliens were invading the earth, during a time of great confusion and fear, the tabloid-reading, TV-brainwashed masses will be induced to believe even more lies. The nonsense connected with 2012 is certain to be one of them.

That being said, interwoven through the very same prophecies that call for the destruction of the nations are the most hope-inspiring promises found in the Bible. Consider as an example the prophecy of Isaiah.

The Hebrew prophecy of Isaiah is heavy with Jehovah's denunciation of Israel, as well as denunciations of numerous surrounding nations, including Babylon. Yet, within the scroll of Isaiah is also found numerous messianic prophecies pertaining to both Jesus' first and second appearance. And as regards "the second time he appears," as Paul worded it in his letter to the Hebrews, Christ will make the entire earth subject to himself, in fulfillment of God's original mandate to Adam and his sons. Within the pages of Isaiah Jehovah promised to make provision for a spiritual paradise, reminiscent of the Edenic paradise Adam and Eve initially enjoyed, if only for a brief moment. 

God's original mandate to Adam was to fill the earth and have in subjection every creature on earth. As Paul further stated to the Hebrews: 'now though, we do not see all things in subjection to him, but we do behold Jesus...' By his faithfulness Jesus won the right to become mankind's earthly father - hence, the title the "Last Adam." When Christ comes in his kingdom he will exercise the rights inherited from Adam by overseeing the righteous subjugation of the world and all the things in it. (Link to Hebrews 2 NIV)

Certainly the seeds of paradise already exist, even as is apparent in the animal kingdom. "Apparent" in the sense that animals are obviously endowed with characteristics and qualities that were originally intended by the Creator to delight, amuse and serve mankind. They are just waiting to be told what to do by people who know what they are doing. In order for that to come about all that is needed is for God to sweep away this unsatisfactory system that dominates the planet presently and for Jesus, the one designated in Isaiah as the "Wonderful Counselor," to take up the powers entrusted to him by God Almighty and teach mankind how to live the way Jehovah intended. All that is required of us to enjoy the future blessing of the kingdom is faith.

The world was shocked in the days following the night of April 14 of 1912, as the news spread of the sinking of the Titanic on its maiden voyage across the Atlantic. The vessel was the largest  ship ever built up until then and it was touted as the safest.  It employed the state-of-the-art technology of the time and was thought to be virtually unsinkable by some people.  

So confident were its builders in the seaworthiness of the vessel that there were only enough lifeboats provided for about half of the 2200 passengers and crew. The ships’ owners didn’t want the deck cluttered up with lifeboats they felt were not necessary. Consequently, over 1,500 either drowned or  died of hypothermia when the ship sank in the icy waters of the North Atlantic.

No one imagined that the ship would collide with a massive, immovable iceberg, or that  its steel hull could be sliced through as if by a kitchen can opener. No one imagined that enough of its specially designed watertight compartments could be flooded and drag the ship under. That, of course, is exactly what happened.  But the sinking of the Titanic was more than just a maritime disaster. 

Because of its luxury and opulence and the prestige imparted to the gigantic vessel by its ultra-wealthy passengers, the Titanic was a symbol of the progress of the industrial revolution and superiority of the gilded Victorian age of British culture. The world, in fact, followed closely the news of Titanic’s construction and launch.  It was an event. Perhaps, the shock associated with the loss of Titanic might be comparable to the Challenger disaster.

Coming just months before the outbreak of World War One, the disaster that befell Titanic was a blow to the Crown itself; not only marking the end of an era, but the tragedy seemed to be a harbinger of things to come. 

What made the loss all the more tragic was that it could have easily been prevented. It was nothing if not the end result of a series of human blunders and arrogance.  

Start with the fact that the collision took place on a clear starlit night. It is not as if the iceberg suddenly emerged out of a bank of fog. The question is: Why didn’t the lookout see the iceberg in time? One reason is that he did not have a pair of binoculars, which most assuredly would have been considered standard equipment. So why wasn’t the crow’s nest of the world’s most luxurious ocean liner outfitted with something as simple as a pair of binoculars? Actually, it was but they were unavailable. And why was that?

The reason is because they were locked in a locker and none of the crew on board Titanic had the key.  David Blair had the key. Officer Blair had been assigned to sail with the Titanic, but at the last moment he was pulled off. He absentmindedly left the boat with the key to the locker in his pocket. Later when asked by a senator how much sooner the crew may have spotted the iceberg had they had the binoculars, Mr. Blaine responded: “[soon] enough to get out of the way.”  (Is this the man that sank the Titanic? Daily Mail) 

Another contributing factor to the demise of the Titanic is that apparently the shipbuilder used inferior quality rivets that  did not hold up under stress.

Probably the main contributing factor in the disaster was that Titanic’s captain ignored repeated warnings that icebergs had been spotted in the immediate vicinity. On the day of the collision Titanic received no less than 20 iceberg warnings. Throwing caution to the wind Titanic was sailing at near full speed when the lookout first spotted the iceberg dead ahead. As an indication of the ship captain’s prevailing mindset, Captain Smith is quoted as saying some years before captaining the Titanic that he could not imagine any scenario that would cause a modern ship to founder. Apparently the captain lacked imagination. 

And then there was the foolish negligence of Stanley Lord, the captain of the California, which was only 19 miles north of the Titanic as it sank. The lookouts on the California saw Titanic’s distress flares fired into the night sky and reported it to the captain. He imagined the Titanic was shooting off celebratory fireworks andCaptain Stanley Lord wouldn’t bother himself to investigate. But had he merely instructed his radioman to turn on the radio he would have received the mayday call in time to have rescued all of the passengers and crew.

There are stories that the collision left chucks of ice on the decks of the Titanic, which a few jolly passengers scooped up and plopped into their martini glasses to cool their libations. Whether that is true or not, though, many passengers  were certainly complacent before it became apparent that the ship was going to go under. But once the order to abandon ship was given first class passengers were given priority. Steerage passengers were kept locked below decks until most of the lifeboats were gone. This is confirmed by the survivor logs that show a disproportionate number of survivors were first class ticket holders. 

 Perhaps the saddest aspect of the Titanic tragedy are the reports that the chamber orchestra played until the very end. 

 In many respects the Titanic tragedy is emblematical of the great ship wreck that is destined to befall the Anglo-American kingdom. That is because the inevitable collapse of the present system is being brought on by foolishness, negligence and arrogance. The political, business and religious leaders of this world have likewise ignored the warnings contained in prophecy. The accumulation of sheer human folly and wickedness is what will ultimately sink the nations and plunge the world into the prophesied genocidal nightmare, otherwise known in the Scriptures as the great tribulation.  

Jehovah, of course, long ago foresaw the eventual outcome. Interestingly, the prophecy of Ezekiel likens the maritime city-kingdom of Tyre to a sailing vessel, which shocked the world when it figuratively sank in the heart of the open sea. The similarities between Tyre and London are inescapable.

No doubt, just as many believed the Titanic was virtually unsinkable, so too, most people are inclined to believe that the present system could never suddenly go down. It is unthinkable. Dare you say: 'Not even God could sink this ship'?

The course of history for the past 500 years has been dominated by an ongoing conflict between the forces of tyranny and the human struggle for liberty. For over a millennium following the collapse of the Roman Empire Europe was dominated by a bestial Feudal system, enforced by the Roman Catholic Church, which enslaved the vast majority of the population in perpetual poverty and ignorance. But the Renaissance began to change that miserable situation.

The Renaissance eventually gave birth to the political expression of the sovereign nation-state. As opposed to the continent being fragmented into dozens of fiefdoms, modern nations began to take shape that were more committed to the populations they ruled over. France, under the reign of King Louis the XI, was put on a course of nation building and thus became the first nation to emerge from the Dark Ages and the Hundred Years War to become a recognizable republic, devoted to the commonwealth.

But, of course, the newly emerging nations were still dominated by a feudalistic oligarchy. It was not until the colonization of the New World that the opportunity presented itself to create a new nation – a free nation with an ocean between it and the tyranny of the European monarchies.

After the break away American colonies formed the first sovereign nation in the New World, two competing systems of political economy began to emerge – The British System and the American System.

The British imperial system is a monetary system based upon exploitation, usury and speculation; whereas, the American System of economy is based upon true nation building. As an example of the British system, the East India Company, which had a charter from the government to bring in the booty from the far reaches of the sprawling empire, promoted opium production in India. The narcotic was then sold to Chinese peasants. Millions of Chinese became addicted to opium as a result of British “free trade.”

The British Empire was also profiteering in the slave trade and even though Parliament outlawed trafficking in human souls in the 1830’s, London was, nonetheless, allied with the Confederacy during the American Civil War and intended to break the union of the United States.

The fact of the matter is, the imperial system of looting made many people fabulously wealthy. Many of the mansions in Holland Park and other affluent areas of London were built with the riches acquired through the business activities of the British East India Company during the 1800’s. HSBC, one of the largest financial institutions in the world today, first got its start processing the profits from the lucrative drug trade. And to this day the plethora of hedge funds and banks located in London’s offshore pirate coves, such as the Cayman Islands, are still deeply involved in laundering drug money for their wealthy clients.

The American System, on the other hand, seeks to nurture and empower people to become productive members of society. It does so by means of education, infrastructure development, protecting domestic industry, fostering scientific progress, and by suppressing the rapaciousness of the British System.

These two competing, antagonistic systems of political economy are what is symbolized in prophecy by the iron and clay and the kings of the north and south leading up to the time of the end.

Since the end of the Second World War and the emergence of the United States as the preeminent world power, the Lord’s of London have sought to subvert America from her stated mission of freeing the world of colonial rule. In this they have succeeded. Particularly since the early 70’s, when President Nixon abolished the post war Breton Woods agreement, which effectively handed over control of the U.S. dollar to the London-based currency speculators and oil merchants, the American economic engine has been effectively throttled.

But the parasitical British system of globalization is incapable of sustaining itself. That is because a parasite only lives as long as its host thrives and the host – in this case, the underlying physical economy of America and Europe – has been on life support for sometime now. Because the population of the earth is steadily increasing the physical means of sustaining the growing human family must increase as well. If not, then there will be a chaotic, rather unpleasant population collapse, which is what the Biblical prophets long ago foretold. (For example, the book of Habakkuk)

The pyramidal scheme of amassing hundreds of trillions of dollars of debt predicated on extracting an income stream from a relatively miniscule few trillions of actual productive labor is manifestly unsustainable and doomed to collapse. So leveraged is the massive half-quadrillion dollar derivatives bubble, likened to a ticking time bomb, that a mere two percent notional loss could create a reverse leverage effect and virtually wipe out all of the world’s capital. That is why the system is now in an advanced state of economic breakdown – as a few sober observers are aware.

In further evidence of that fact, commenting in the New York Times on the Federal Reserve’s temporary bailout of the now-defucnt investment bank, Bear Sterns, James L. Melcher, president of Balestra Capital, a hedge fund based in New York, said. “If the Fed hadn’t acted this morning and Bear did default on its obligations, then that could have triggered a very widespread panic and potentially a collapse of the financial system.” But as the title of the New York Times article suggests, Bear Sterns is just one of many toppling dominos in the financial daisy-chain.

But the rolling temblor now shaking the financial system is merely a harbinger of a seismic event that will shake civilization to its foundation and more importantly, herald that the day of Jehovah has commenced.

So, what does the near future hold?

The financial oligarchy are determined to use the collapsing dollar to finish off – once and for all – the American republic and the nation-state system globally; otherwise, they run the risk that the United States and other sovereign nations may unite in their common interest of self preservation and act against the financier’s interests, as the global financial system careens toward the abyss. Will the forces of empire succeed?

In a word, Yes. The present democratic nation-state system is destined by the prophetic Scriptures to be crushed by the last empire. That calamity will herald the beginning of the end for the entire unsatisfactory system and commence a transitional phase that will culminate with the complete takeover of earth's governance by the Kingdom of God in the hands of Christ.
