A Prophecy You Are Seeing Fulfilled

The May 1st, 2011, issue of the Watchtower Magazine for the public carries an article entitled Six Bible Prophecies You Are Seeing Fulfilled.
What are they? The six are: Earthquakes, famines, disease, lack of love, ruination of the earth and a global preaching work.
First, it must be pointed out that earthquakes, famines and disease are not separate, individual prophecies. They are simply different features that make up one complete sign – the sign of Christ’s presence and the conclusion of the system. Jehovah’s Witnesses are, of course, well aware of this fact, because that is what the Watchtower Society teaches. Evidently, though, the public version of the magazine is less straightforward.
But there is also a glaringly conspicuous omission. What is that? The most prominent feature of the sign Jesus gave is omitted from the article – War. And not just war, Jesus foretold that nation will arise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and the second horseman of the apocalypse is given a great sword, so that peace is taken from the earth and a great slaughter ensues. So, how many people have seen that aspect of the prophecy?
Although the two global wars of the 20th century certainly could be described as a taking of peace from the earth and a great slaughter, still, the question is: How many people today have personally witnessed those wars? Ironically, this very week the last surviving American veteran of the First World War passed away. (See Back Page) And those who were alive to personally witness the Second World War are now senior citizens. The truth is, the vast majority of persons now living have not personally seen the most prominent aspect of the prophecy. As horrific as the death and destruction is in any war, the recent and ongoing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan notwithstanding, these and numerous other wars cannot reasonably be considered as taking peace from the earth or as being a great slaughter. And obviously the Watchtower does not think that the wars today are a result of the fulfillment of prophecy either; hence, the omission.
But here is the primary question to consider: Is it reasonable that the sign of Christ’s presence should be witnessed over successive generations, unfolding in piecemeal fashion, with some features being in evidence while other essential aspects are not? No, it is not reasonable at all. Wars, food shortages, pestilence and great earthquakes are to occur concurrently, thus making up a composite sign.
The Watchtower is playing fast and loose with truth in other ways. Consider their number three prophecy – disease. The Watchtower quotes Luke 21:11 from the Contemporary English Version, which says “There will be great earthquakes, and in many places people will starve to death and suffer terrible diseases. All sorts of frightening things will be seen in the sky.”
Why does the Watchtower not use its own New World Translation? Because the NWT and most other translations of the Bible, use the words “pestilence” or “plague.” Obviously, there is a difference. A pestilence or plague is a swiftly spreading disease that may become an epidemic or even the feared pandemic. But as proof the “prophecy” is being fulfilled the article cites various diseases like pneumonia, diarrheal diseases, malaria, HIV, etc., none of which are pestilential in nature. The last plague of apocalyptic proportions was the Spanish Influenza in 1918-1919.
Finally, the ruining of the earth is not a Bible prophecy. Revelation 11:18 merely states that the time came for God to bring to ruin those ruining the earth. The nature of the ruination and the extent to which God will allow his earth to be ruined are not stated. The point is that those who are destroying the earth at the time God intervenes will be destroyed. The earth is being ruined, true, but it is still quite livable. It could be a lot worse.
The Watchtower’s dishonesty aside, none of this is to suggest that the day of Jehovah is not imminent. On the contrary. The nations of the world are being pushed into a third world war, one that will undoubtedly see the widespread use of nuclear weapons, coupled with all the other aspects of the sign of Christ’s presence, ruining the earth far beyond its present polluted state.
The irony is that the Watchtower Society’s predicament is itself part of prophecy. Imagine the pitiful situation of a man trying to find his repose on a bed that is too short and trying to cover himself with a sheet that is too narrow. In Isaiah that is the way Jehovah has described those who are the leading men of his people at the time Christ arrives for judgment. It perfectly describes the present spectacle of the Watchtower trying in vain to cover itself with its threadbare, 1914-invisible-parousia, blanket. It is a prophecy you are seeing being fulfilled!

It's a mystery why more Watchtowerites can't see these glaring difficulties and inconsistencies. As 1914 recedes farther and farther into the distant past, it's becoming a major embarrassment. If people didn't question things before, it's about time they wake up to reality.
Also, I'm sure for the lack of love "prophecy" they are trying to make it applicable to crime but it's spiritual lawlessness that Jesus is talking about.

the cluelessness of the WT-anointed runs much deeper than what you have uncovered thus far.
First of all, there is no 'composite' sign with many 'facets' that Jesus gave His disciples - such interpretation of His words is an utter nonsense, invented by the spiritually blind WT 'eagles.'
He merely provided a single sign that would occur just before the desolation of Christianity, one easily missed by the undiscerning believer.
As to the sign of His presence and the start of the conclusion of the secular system of things, He clearly told us that this would occur only immediately after the great tribulation against Christianity has finished - the day and hour of which were to remain unknown until His appearing on the clouds of heaven in power and glory.
This revelation of the Sons of God in turn, would lead to the global slaughter of 'Nation against Nation' and 'Kingdom against Kingdom,' as they beat themselves in grief at the realization that all is lost now.
Instead of focusing on 'wars and rumours of wars' etc. - which have been and are still to come - we are better served by keeping on the watch for the disgusting thing standing in a holy place, because to most religious folk this event will pass totally unnoticed, until it is too late to get out of 'Jerusalem!'
Ironically, out of all organized religions, the one most difficult to flee from will be the WT cult, whose followers will face the ultimate visitation of infinite justice with extreme prejudice for misrepresenting the truth of Jehovah God the Almighty.
Just as in 66 C.E, many will return and seek shelter in the WT organization as the initial attack by the disgusting thing is inexplicably withdrawn as if by divine providence suggesting that God's judgment has passed them by somehow. But remember the wife of Lot!

Well if it turns out that the WT cult is in fact the NWO religion, I would think that eventually they would become popular at some point and many people would eventually start flocking to it. Maybe even if it was by force too!

It appears that the Watchtower and the Watchman are sharing the same bed and the same blanket. This is because the Watchman has retained many of the Society’s unworkable prophecies. The fact of the matter is the Watchman has moved some of the Watchtower’s “artfully contrived false story” into the future, giving them a “new” twist as it where.
For example, the Watchman has no insight as to God’s intent of the “seven times” prophecy of Daniel 4, anymore than the Watchtower doesn’t. Nonetheless, the Society has correctly identified this time frame as a 2520-year period, extending from the first siege of Jerusalem by the Babylonian empire to the First World War.
What we should take into consideration is the fact that the International Bible Students, as Jehovah’s Witnesses were then called, were in expectation of Christ’s immediate return after the expiration of the seven times. Out of this failed expectation, the Society developed what the Watchman calls an “operation of error,” which has identified Jehovah’s Witnesses as having an indistinct sound.
The sensible thing to do is to get rid of this narrow sheet or “blanket.” Then and only then will the Watchman and the Watchtower have their eyes of understanding into apocalyptic prophecy fully opened so that no more will there be “an indistinct call” from our musical instruments.
1 Corinthians 14:7-9
As it is, the inanimate things give off sound, whether a flute or a harp; unless it makes an interval to the tones, how will it be known what is being played on the flute or on the harp? For truly, if the trumpet sounds an indistinct call, who will get ready for battle? In the same way also, unless YOU through the tongue utter speech easily understood, how will it be known what is being spoken? YOU will, in fact, be speaking into the air.
Proxy wrote: “This revelation of the Sons of God in turn, would lead to the global slaughter of 'Nation against Nation' and 'Kingdom against Kingdom,' as they beat themselves in grief at the realization that all is lost now.”
The theological idea reflected above is in the reverse order. The fact of the matter is the nations are going to mass together as one against God and Christ immediately prior to their destruction by God’s incoming kingdom.

You have sought answers in Daniel 12 before, so it remains to be seen, if after the 1260 days(42months)

During the tribulation God's judgment will come in two phases, the seven trumpets and the seven bowls. The trumpets will put the whole world on notice that God's kingdom is about to be established and it will allow for the separation of the sheep and goats.
It is during this time the symbolic Two Witnesses will be preaching in sackcloth for 1260 days. Then the Two Witnesses will be killed figuratively speaking. In actuality the wild beast will conquer the 144,000, killing most if not all of them and many others who heed their message. At this the world rejoices. –Rev 11:10
Then the Devil will gather a large crowd of followers. He will gain enough clout to set up the image of the beast. (Rev 13 & 9) Likely, this will occur at the sounding of the sixth trumpet. It is at this time that the Devil or “the man of lawlessness,” will sit “down in the temple of The God, publicly showing himself to be a god.” --2 Thessalonians 2:4
However, Daniel describes an interesting turn of events, saying:
Daniel 11:44-45*
“But there will be reports that will disturb him, out of the sunrising and out of the north, and he will certainly go forth in a great rage in order to annihilate and to devote many to destruction. And he will plant his palatial tents between [the] grand sea and the holy mountain of Decoration; and he will have to come all the way to his end, and there will be no helper for him.
The end time king of the north [the Devil] comes out of the north is a euphemism indicating that God allows him to conquer the holy ones and subjugate all the nations. After the seventh trumpet and during the seven bowls, it is God and Christ who together comes “out of the north” and consigns him in the abyss for 1000 years and ultimately finishes him off in the lake of fire.
My question is regarding the "wheat & the weeds" Stone...seems logical that this will be taking place PRIOR to
the outbreak of the Gt. Trib,,hence the 5th trumpet release of the Locusts by the angel of the Abyss, will NOT
HARM those with the "seal on their foreheads" = "the wheat"...because the WEEDS will still b in the WTorg &
Christendom, having been examined by the One who has been given the right to JUDGE.

If you are using the Watchtower’s vernacular you are not going to understand apocalyptic prophecy. To unlock the mysteries of Daniel and Revelation, you have to first discard the Watchtower’s prophetic language and interpretation of end time prophecy. You have to be willing to wipe the slate clean. That may be difficult for you to do unless Christ himself initiates this process in your mind. Likely, this will be the experience of the 144,000 prior to the tribulation and their sealing out of the figurative twelve tribes of Israel.

CT Russell gave a talk in which he used masonic language to describe Christianity. For example, he referred to Christ as the master temple builder, etc. I read the manuscript, which I commented on on the old e-watchman site. Although Russell denied ever being a Mason he obviously knew quite a bit about it, in any case, his talk seems to have served to draw masons to the WT. The news article was obviously written by a mason. The extent to which the Society may have been infiltrated or is presently controlled by Masons is a mystery. Jesus ought to pull the cover back soon, exposing all the occult (hidden things) to the light of day.

I was raised in the Catholic Church as a boy, having attended a Catholic school ran by Canadian priests. My dad was Catholic and my mom was Protestant. Later I was baptized at the age of 14 in the Protestant Church where my parents used to take me in New York City.
After that I began to study the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses. I have been attending meetings at the Kingdom Hall since the early 70s and occasionally use to give short talks in the Theocratic Ministry School.
During my session with the elders to get baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, I told them that I heard a loud voice saying: “I baptized you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” This occurred after a brief personal encounter with Christ a few weeks before while I was studying the Bible with the aid of a Watchtower publication. Likely the elders didn’t understand what I was saying, so they prayed for me.
I didn’t end up getting baptized and I was given the boot from the Theocratic Ministry School. Nonetheless I still attend meetings (occasionally now) and I partake of the Lord’s Evening Meal since I am impelled to do so. In all of my imperfections and shortcomings, I just think I have an enduring love for Jesus. That’s all.

The above is self explanetary, only the other day when I was in a sisters house, she was given a book about self help, and she was unaware that the christ they mentioned in the book was not refering to Jesus Christ, but the New Age one, there was quotes and mantras to read which all sounds good, but is so decieving.
As the bible says, "quit touching the unclean thing and I will take you in" I hope this information will help anyone who is searching for answers. Draw close to Jehovah and he will draw close to you.

I can see from what you wrote, you too were stumbled by your Watchtower findings, when they don't provide the answers, you have no choice but to search for them, and sad to say it can literally cause you your life if you do not use your God given wisdom. Yes I also didn't find the love and came into the truth at 20 and never questioned anything, just accepted it as fact.
But despite my turbulant journey and harsh experiences, Jehovah brought me through the fire, because yes I was badly burnt, and wouldn't want anyone to experience what I went through, that's probably why you saw some of my posts on Free Minds, if I can stop just one person from going down the path of so called "love & light" then thats a blessing.
Satans out to lure Jehovahs stumbled and lost sheep, knowing their hearts are broken from rejection. Believe it or not I was so mixed up, I ended looking into pyramidology because of what I found out about Charles Taze Russell, what I had been stumbled by, I was eventually enticed with, thinking that the society had hidden deep truths by getting rid of his work, I was just trying to make sense of a religion that I knew was the truth, but was hiding work from the originator of this truthful organisation. And my journey from their took me on the wrong path.
This is why I speak with such passion about false teachings, lies and the New Age movement, and the saddest thing is, ask any Jehovahs Witness what is the New Age religion? and they'll give you a blank look.
No the organisation don't alert their flock to these dangers, all you ever hear about is Christendom, if they did, I wouldn't have to be collecting spiritually misleading books from a certain brother and sister, which didn't have a clue. They need to up their game and move on with the new tools that satan is using, instead of going on about Christendom and obeying the slave.
Yes Sherry Shriner resonates with me, as I see quite a few things in the scriptures which she relates to, which confirmed a few things for me. But I think she's a pawn in the game, I wrote to her about the trinity once and she tried to avoid my questions, so yes she is a trinitatian and blinded to the true God Jehovah.

I had a funny experience Friday, I tried to log onto Roberts forum and It was impossible, the site wouldn't even come up, a day later I remembered this site and tried to get in through the back door so to speak, and came across your post, and thought I need to contact her. After that the site started working, Jehovah works in strange and wonderful ways, and there was me getting all upset and frustrated because I couldn't get on Roberts forum, I thought they had closed him down lol. Yes Elena we are now living in the time of the end for real, we must cling to Jehovah with all your might and not lean upon our own understanding as the heart can be treacherous who knows it.

When Jesus comes in his glory, it is then that he will separate the sheep from the goats. (Read Mat 16:19; 25:31-33) Needless to say Christ did not come in his glory in 1914 to effectuate the separation of people from one another.
The commencement of the Great Tribulation will be the beginning point of this separation of people to Christ’s right or left side. This is why God’s judgment during the tribulation is going to come in two phases, the seven trumpets and the seven bowls. (Rev 8:2-6; 15:5-16:1)
During the trumpets God’s judgments will be mixed with mercy allowing for righteously disposed individuals to take their stand for Christ and his incoming kingdom.

As disasters continue to increase and the desparation of people becoming faint out of fear not knowing the way
out escalates, Satans "annointed" prophets will start appearing, reassuring and misleading people into the belief that the "messiah" (Anti-Christ) will soon arrive to bless the nations with a "NEW age, NEW Love and NEW Light NWO."
Its a bit like the movie the "Incredibles," the kids animated 3D cartoon, in which the villain creates a "wild beast"
in order to ravage the earth, and then after allowing much destruction to take place, he then appears before all and proceeds to destoy his beast in order to gain the praise and reverence of all, all the while still remaining the Villain.
That is exactly how the scriptures explain how Satan is going to act, more or less.
That will be the true "hour of test" placed before all.
We though who understand are not in the darkness but receive "true light" from our father Jehovah.

To Be Frank, "2012 is not Jehovah's plan" seems obvious to people like us who have done our homework. But since the start of 2011, so many things resembling the start of Armageddon, has had many believing that day is upon us, I heard many have been rushing back to the Kingdom Halls, falling for the same 1914 bait, that Jesus had set up his kingdom. Let’s see, I was married twice, first to a Methodist for three years, then a Seventh - day Adventist for eleven years. I have been single for ten years and I am afraid to get married again. The answer to prophecy lies within the dead sea scrolls found in the caves of qumran. The only reason they survived intact is because of the unique conditions the dead sea provides by having a preserving effect.
