World Events & Prophecy Update

Since the April 20th explosion of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig the ongoing toxic geyser in the Gulf of Mexico has dominated the news. But as disastrous for the environment as the out-spreading oil is, the chemical dispersants being spewed by the millions of gallons are said to be four times more toxic than the petroleum.
There are reports of widespread crop damage in the Gulf States, perhaps attributable to the potent chemical dispersant vapors precipitating out of the atmosphere with rain. And in a few more weeks the oil will exit the Gulf and enter the Atlantic Ocean. And to compound an already difficult situation it is predicted to be an active hurricane season.
This is shaping up to be a mega-disaster – not just for the environment or the economies of the Gulf States, but for America and even the world.
Predictably, there is a grassroots movement to boycott British Petroleum. But that may only exacerbate the disaster. For one thing, most of the thousands of BP service stations in the United States are privately owned, mom-and-pop franchises. And besides that, British Petroleum sells oil to many other retail outlets besides those named British Petroleum. But if British Petroleum goes bankrupt, what then? Already the company has lost half of its market value. But if BP goes under it would probably trigger a derivatives panic in the financial markets; that is because of the billions in credit default swaps. In other words, those who are counterparties of the derivatives bets would be on the hook for the billions and billions of BP’s debt.
The situation in Europe is also bleak. While the sovereign debt of Greece has dominated the news in recent months, the death vigil has now turned to Spain. Credit rating agencies recently rattled markets when they cut Spain’s credit worthiness rating merely one notch. Again, though, the situation is such that if just one nation or large bank defaults it will trigger billions, possibly trillions, in CDS (credit default swaps) and other forms of derivatives.
The BIS has placed the derivatives market at about $600 trillion. Others, though, say that the total off-balance sheet, notional value of derivatives bets worldwide is in the quadrillions! To put things in perspective, the world’s GDP is about $50 trillion, and much of that is fictitious as well.
One year ago the European Central Bank (ECB) loaned €440 billion to other banks within the European Union to prevent a meltdown of the banking system. On July 1, 2010, those loans came due. But the borrowers came nowhere near paying off their debt. In other words, it became apparent that the great banks of Europe are bankrupt. The ECB was forced to roll over parts of the debt – loaning the bankrupt banks another €110 billion for a mere six days! That sounds like a joke, but it is not. That is the situation. The Masters of the Universe are just trying to keep the thing held together for another week! Oddly, though, while the Euro is breaking down the United Nations has called for the nations to ditch the Dollar as the world’s reserve currency.
Meanwhile, the largest military buildup since World War II is underway. In a few more weeks the United States will reportedly have four aircraft carrier attack groups and a marine contingent within striking distance of Iran. American and Israeli aircraft and ground troops are amassed in Azerbaijan, on Iran’s northern border. Iran has deployed its Revolutionary guard and is on a full-alert, war footing. Saudi Arabia has given Israel a “green light” to use its airspace for an attack. With the Anglo-American powers having gotten official United Nations’ sanctions against Iran they will likely begin to ratchet up the pressure against the land of the ancient Persian Empire in order to provoke a response, as a pretext for launching a nuclear attack.
The driving force behind the relentless push for war is the collapsing financial system. Private financial interests know that the game is up. As a last gasp they will undoubtedly flood the world with trillions upon trillions of Dollars and Euros, which will decrease in value by the hour, then by the minute and second – until their money becomes worthless. As one indication that private financial interests are manipulating the nations into war, consider that billionaire Rupert Murdoch’s London Times has been accused of publishing fake documents demonizing Iran. This is of course the exact same tactic that was used to justify the invasion of Iraq. Remember the phony yellowcake story?
The Bible writer James was inspired to foretell the fire-like, hyperinflationary destruction of money when he wrote: “Come, now, you rich men, weep, howling over your miseries that are coming upon you. Your riches have rotted, and your outer garments have become moth-eaten. Your gold and silver are rusted away, and their rust will be as a witness against you and will eat your fleshy parts. Something like fire is what you have stored up in the last days.”
It is their intent to blow up the world after securing control over the world's vital resources, such as oil and gas. In case anyone is uncertain as to how the world works it was recently announced that Afghanistan is sitting on about $3 trillion worth of minerals. The so-called war on terror has never been about eradicating Al Qaeda. That could be done in a single day considering the overwhelming force the United States is capable of mustering. The war in South Asia is about protecting London’s opium business, which nets the European banks hundreds of billions in laundering fees and interest. It’s about controlling vital oil and gas pipelines and shipping lanes to the Persian Gulf. And, of course, it’s about oil.
THE WATCHTOWER HAS BLINDED JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES
Jehovah’s Witnesses see no significance in current events. The Watchtower Society has convinced those under its influence that virtually all prophecy has already been fulfilled. For example, it may seem ludicrous to those who are unfamiliar with the Watchtower’s teachings, but Jehovah’s Witnesses actually imagine that the 8th king of prophecy has come to power and that people have already received the mark of the beast by merely admiring the now-defunct League of Nations and its successor, the United Nations. Just how it is that no one can buy or sell unless receiving the mark of the beast is anyone’s guess. Jehovah's Witnesses do not seem to realize that it is blasphemous to imply that God has blotted out from his book of life millions of names because they may have casually supported the League or the modern UN. It is virtually impossible for Jehovah’s Witnesses to comprehend that the now-imminent collapse of the Anglo-American system will signal the beginning of the conclusion of the system and the parousia of Christ and the death-stroke of the beast. Now Jehovah’s Witnesses are only waiting for the United Nations to suddenly destroy organized religion throughout the world.
But, there is no earthly power that can penetrate the Watchtower's control over the minds of Jehovah's Witnesses. And as all of Jehovah's Witnesses surely know, if any in the congregation were to voice any misgivings agout the Watchtower's interpretations of prophecy they would be dealt with speedily by the elders. Truly, the very institution Jehovah’s Witnesses credit for their assumed enlightenment has in reality effectively blinded them.
Jesus Christ forewarned his disciples that he was coming as a thief in the night. However, Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that Christ’s thief-like coming took place in 1914. The outbreak of nuclear war and global financial collapse in the coming months, coupled with the inevitable food shortages, famine and disease, will shatter the Watchtower’s 1914 delusion. Then Jehovah’s Witnesses will be forced to go on faith and abandon whatever is left of Bethel and the Society. That will be a very difficult thing for most of Jehovah’s Witnesses. After all, the Watchtower claims to speak for God. When it becomes apparent that the Watchtower has misled the flock, then what?
No wonder Jesus posed the somewhat unsettling question: “Nevertheless, when the Son of man arrives, will he really find the faith on the earth?” – Luke 18:8

The Watchtower teaches that the seventh head of the composite wild beast in the 13th chapter of Revelation represents the Anglo-American world power. It should be noted however that the heads of this leopard-like beast do not represent political entities. They are blasphemous in nature as John points out. –Re 13:1
Therefore they represent the religious components of successive world powers. It is a fact of history that religions have always had a hand in directing and controlling the affairs of the state, because of the authority it wields over the masses of mankind. Thus John saw from another angle or perspective a whore representing religious entities, riding upon a seven-headed wild beast. –Rev 17:3
The imperial component of this beast is represented by the ten horns upon which the ten crowns are located. This means that when this beast rises from the sea of confused humanity, it will be imperial in nature, but it will be infused with power or authority from behind the scenes by spiritistic practices of demonic origin through the religious heads of the beast. –Rev 18:23
Thus we have to view Babylon the Great, not just as the empire of false religion or “organized religion,” but as a religio-political empire, as was the case with ancient, Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome. They all had their religious consort and the situation will be no different when the wild beast ascends out of the sea.
Since the heads of the wild beast represent the religious component of Babylon the Great, the head that suffered a death-like stroke cannot be imperialistic in nature. History bears out that the head that was wounded is Catholicism in 1798. It was not until after the First World War that Vatican City was restored to the papacy through the Lateran Treaties. Thus the healing process of this head through which Rome perpetuated itself has been an ongoing process that will culminate upon the rise of the wild beast at the onset of the great tribulation.
This marriage of politics and religion goes hand in hand; because both sides lack something the other side has and need. Thus if they work together they can accomplish their goal of controlling the masses of mankind, bringing humanity under the control of a world empire.
Once the devil and his demonic hordes have accomplished this goal, they will not longer have any need for religious diversity. Thus we can be certain that once the “image of the wild beast” is completely set up and the mark of the beast is implemented, there will be only on religion for everyone. The whore of Babylon will have served her purpose, and she will be discarded “like a great millstone pitched into the sea.” –Rev 18:21
So now what is God to do with this monstrosity of a one world government? At this point “the kings of the earth have massed together as one against Jehovah and against his anointed one,” since they are not the rightful heir of the earth and its resources. They have only succeeded in ruining the earth for their own selfish gain.
It is then that God will speak to them in his anger and in his hot displeasure he will disturb them, [saying:] “I, even I, have installed my king upon Zion, my holy mountain.” He will break them with an iron scepter, as though a potter’s vessel he will dash them to pieces. –Psalm 2:1-9
So, contrary to the Watchtower’s teaching, false religion is not going to be suddenly destroyed at the onset of the great tribulation. In fact it will be an ongoing concern until the “image of the beast” is set up. Afterward, God will deal with the unlawful, arrogant and belligerent 8th king, who is the same king of fierce countenance and king of the north in Daniel. –Rev 17:11; Da 8:23; 11:45

Is it not also arrogant and hypocritical that Jehovah's Witnesses have not accepted the FACT that the WTB&TS actually-- really did--support and promote the modern United Nations?
Should it not also be relevant and important that Jehovah's Witnesses STOP DENYING this fact and admit their mistake?
Would the bulk of Jehovah's Witnesses suffer and perhaps be destroyed because of their willful ignorance, tolerance and acceptance of this leadership without voicing a concern and demanding a correction?
For any people to sit id ally by and say and do nothing; are they not as guilty as the perpetrator of this crime? Is this not BEING BLOOD GUILTY?
In a modern Court of Law, many would be on their way to prison or in an ideal or righteous environment, --a guillotine!
Am I out of line for demanding such Justice?

I just read the first 85 pages of Faith on the March by brother A.H. Macmillan. I suggest that you read it for a different perspective on the history of the "society" before Pator Russell's death and for the beginning of Brother Rutherfords time as President. Only the true God Jehoveah and his son Jesus Christ know the "clean" truth, however, Brother MacMillan was there. Rutherford had his faults , apparently many of them, but he did some good work. Remember, everyone back then was not of the anointed, even though, they were there in the beginning of the "society" as we know it today. Identity of many was not cleared until 1935, when the "other sheep" part of the flock was recognized..
In addition, I do have a problem with the "society" calling itself and "organization", that sounds "corporate" to me and makes the "brothers" look like any other organized religion. In some ways , have we not acted like some of them????
with oppressive rules and regulations that may not all be bible based. Read the beginning of the book of Job, his children celebrated birthdays and no that is not why they were destroyed. They had a custom of getting together on "each ones day" for a celebration or "get together". We need to really read the Bible. I do not vote because I do not believe that "man" has the answer and "man" cannot solve the problems of the earth. I cast my vote for Jesus Christ as King in 1973, only he can help us as directed by his father, the true god. I do not restrain from voting because I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses, you see. We have to do what makes sense and what harmonizes with the scriptures.
Yes, I am very concerned, but with help from the true God Jehovah and his son Jesus Christ, I will not give up seeking the truth from the Bible..
